On buying accounts and why you should care I posted this thread in the 2+2 forums, hopefully it generates some good discussion here: __________________________ I made a post on the High Stakes forum about this topic but didn't have any luck (no replies, too theoretical', non-important topic'). So I decided to post it on the Poker Theory forum and have better luck, I got one reply by Dr. Zebra. My question was: Lets suppose you have an average stack on the Sunday Million with 18 people left, and you're a winner player, lets say 50% ROI. A break even player (0% ROI) is the chip leader, with about 1/4 of the chips in ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Here's how important the vote for the senate is..... Yes, don't vote based on a single issue. You can think of also: - The Iraq War - The big spending by the government - US not complying with International laws (Geneva Conventions, WTO, etc.) - The environment - Corruption - The imposition of their morals on everybody And so many others, basically just think, Have the republicans who control the house, senate, presidency, Supreme Court done any good at all the last 6 years' To be honest, I think the answer is pretty easy. Poker is just another republican failure between an ocean of them. I really think enough is enough. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): Dear Action Jeff BR, I think you misundertood Jeff in reference to 2+2, from what I've read from Jeff's posts, he rarely miss a chance to bash 2+2. So, it was more in the direction GambleAB said. Edit: And for the tone of your post looks like you and Jeff are in the same boat there. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Shaniac Jr examines the rankings Sorry if the response looked heated. It is just my writing style (I'm lost in translation so often), I knew it was your opinion, I just wanted to clarify some points especially the part about posting in my blog about "mediocre" performances, I love to post information and all your results the good and the bad ones are part of your life as a poker player; I just didn't like the adjective. The general points discussed in the 2nd part of my post were not directed to you, they were directed to the community in general, especially to some of the young players who may not experienced a truly bad ... Re(2): Shaniac Jr examines the rankings AawwNuts, I agree with your general points, I just want to correct some points about your "analysis" of myself, since you present yourself like quite the authority to judge the performance of some of us. The sick October run you refer, was more a September-January run; the only runs that long or longer I have seen in the past year are Bax, Samenole, Colson, Shaniac, ImsoLucky, ActionJeff and Rizen (sorry if I forget somebody). And of course some of us have been running good for years. My blog does not allude "mediocre" performance, maybe that is your word for variance; I'm not afraid to post ... Re(7): The Noah Boeken/who is next situation mhoddi, "is absolutely no way that a site can tell who is playing on the computer." The fact that you don't have any idea about how to do it, does not mean it can't be done. And for sure, a site that is raking huge amounts of cash should have the tools to do it if they so wanted it. Re(1): About the chop... Roothlus: If you already knew these guys were terrible, then why the deal' Looks like it was better to just say no deal from the beggining' Did you think you could convince these guys to accept some kind of deal according to what you expected' Reading what you wrote, looks like there was no doubt in your mind that it was best to play. Re(1): Was the Refusal to chop a bad idea for ROOTH? I don't agree completely with what N82 said, but of course I respect the player's decision if they think that way. If you think you're the best, then just play. What's the use of trying to made a deal if you already know you're not dealing' That's angle shooting to me. I'm not saying Roothlus did that, (I didn't watch all the FT), but I have seen people do that in the past, just to upset their opponents and that's not poker man. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I'm tired of Paradise support Any time I ask them about which tournaments I played or how did I spend my money in their site during a certain period of time, it's just a PITA to have the information, last time I did it, it took like 10 emails, now I'm in the 4th. With all the money they are raking, how the hell don't they store all the info about transactions in an easy way to retrieve it' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

The business we have chosen From my blog: The second day of the WPT Invitational started today at 6:30 PM (PST); since we're staying at a Anaheim hotel near Disneyland, usually this means a 20-25 minutes drive, but this is LA, so I was expecting a 90 minutes drive, since yesterday it took that long to arrive to Commerce Casino, it took "only" one hour this time, and I was ready to play. Blinds were 600-1200 with 200 ante, so 3600 each pot and round; with 9800 my M was really low, still I don't get desperate in these situations, since I know good players are just waiting to take advantage of the low stacks desperate ... The Grandma dilemma: Debunking the myths The Grandma dilemma: Debunking the myths One of the arguments of the cheaters (the word is used just for description, no offense intended) and the apologists is that the likelihood of a player with two accounts playing the same tourney and ending in the same table is pretty small, insignificant they say, “don’t worry about it” Well, let’s take a look to see if you should worry: Tournament: Daily PS $100 Rebuys Number of players: 108 Starting tables: 12 Lets say Grandma has two accounts; lets call the accounts (just for description purposes); “supercheater” and “megagreedy” What are ...
