Mind blowing' heh.. I consider this a pretty standard beat. When your opponent called your all-in he had 9 outs, not to mention a backdoor flush draw. Any T, 9, or J would win it for him, and he could've hit runner runner club to knock you out as well.

Saving hand histories..
I was wondering if anyone here saved hand histories, such as huge hands (royal flush), or huge wins/losses. I keep a text file that includes all of my best hands, and biggest wins (quads, straight flush, and large pots). I'd like to hear from others, and maybe see some interesting hand histories people would like to share.

I like the call. Since the short stack was all-in, you want as many other players in the pot with you, to increase the odds of that player being eliminated. The fundamental theorem of poker is that the best action to take is the one you would take if you could see your opponent's hole cards. If you knew your opponent had T9, and was drawing to an open ended straight, the absolute best play would be to make him pay for it, and pay dearly. An open ended straight has 8 cards to win; with 44 unseen cards, they are a 5.5:1 dog to make their straight by the turn, and about 2.8:1 to make it by the ...

Song titles and poker..
Here I am at work, counting down the minutes until I go home and play poker, and I realized that the songs I am listening to have very interesting titles in relation to poker. Let me elaborate... WSOP article that mentioned the quad 5s loss to pocket 9s..
I remember reading someone post about how their quad 5s lost to runner runner 9s at last year's WSOP championship. To my surprise, I was reading an article on the WSOP, and they mentioned it! -- If you hang around the tournament area, you'll hear plenty of bad-beat stories. Okay, I just spent 20 minutes reading this thread, and I've noticed a couple of things.. 1. Those that believe the deck is juiced/rigged, or that action post-flop determines the outcome, generally do not state legitimate reasons for this. Rather, they say "I had AJ vs AT 5x, and got sucked out" or something similar. 2. Those that believe the deck is random generally have technical reasons to justify their thoughts. I was playing in a MTT on ubet a while ago, and half way through they had server problems. They ended up refunding my buy-in, PLUS an amount based on my chip-stack. I was very happy, considering they put some thought into the refund, and weren't just giving me only my money back.

It's not cheating, plain and simple. Using your same logic, someone who goes all in with 72o is also cheating, because they have a slim chance of winning. If the player was honestly upset at the other player, he could fold all day long to the short stack if he wanted to. Is it unethical' I don't think so, players are in control of their own actions, and if he chooses to fold to another player that's his choice, although it is probably not smart. Placed 3rd in a $20+2 on Full Tilt..
I played in a $20+2 MTT last night on Full Tilt, and after 3h 58m, I placed 3rd. I made around $450, and am pretty happy with my performance. The last hand I played was 44 against A4, and an ace hit on the flop to finish me off.
