Really terrible when that stuff happens. I was working within 100 miles when that happened... I've been close to 3 other touchdowns over the years. It's really scary shit when the sky turns so dark so quickly and all you can do is swivel your head and keep a look out. Had sirens going off in St. Louis last year and had to shut down an event I was running while we all just waited inside and tried to find updates on our phones. And yet, a few weeks ago near Kansas City there was a touchdown 15 miles from me and I drove out to see if I could find it, in a storm, with small hail, etc... Still ...

welp..here we go.
I'm going to stick up for the OP here... He went with it and made it a lot of fun for OT for a short period of time, and when it became apparent he wasn't ready to just completely go for a million or suicide he decided to take some odd jobs and try a new city... then he made a post a few pages back telling us all that the idea of the thread is now over but he will continue to post updates if anything comes up... Good for him for trying, for following through briefly, then letting us know he knows it is over...

I must be missing something lately' Why are responsible people so anti-credit card right now' Please tell me that you understand you will never pay a single 'fee' of any kind if you pay your bill in full each month' It's the same as using cash each time, except at the end of the month you just pay $1,000 all at once instead of each time... Yeah, if you fuck up and let it build without paying it off you get screwed, but you sound like you wouldn't do that. You can sign up for multiple cards and get free flights, free hotel rooms, points for lots of stuff, etc and basically never pay any fees ...

Just wanted to thank op for a thread that made us laugh, cry, cheer and berate. Though it is over in terms of what it started as, it was one of the better runs in the 6 years I've been a part of the site. home run in a big league park? pfft no prob
I'm no longer an athlete but as a junior in high school without any college prospects for baseball I could hit 330' home runs in bp on the regular. No brag obviously, just saying that if I could do that I don't find it even remotely interesting to see professional athletes hit bp home runs. Pretty sure anyone who was ever a decent hitter could hit bp homers at their level of play. I'll add 330-350 now that I think about the field dimensions.

Hey, I'm an equal opportunity change-your-mind on a subject person... I'll leave now so people can debate and have fun. For me, you can show me clear evidence of it and I still want someone who rapes my niece to die. I still want a drunk driver who kills a family in a mini van to die. And I still want someone who goes into a loved ones home with a gun and kills them trying to steal their jewelry. I've always said if it has to come down to an eyewitness or a whole lot of circumstantial evidence, etc, then go with caution and do a life sentence... but for the cases that are without a doubt ...
