Charles Barkley vs. Robert Horry
seriously this. I'd take Charles' career everyday. Horry's the shit and all, but I mean... Charles was the best player on his team when he was in his prime. Without players as great as Barkley, guys like Horry don't get to hit the big shots. I know that without Horry, those teams don't win as often as they did, but I think I can find Robert Horrys easier than I can find Charles Barkleys.

I really think that as global as the NBA is and will continue to be, there are close to the right amount of teams. I'd say I disagree with the "too many teams" argument but I think it goes without saying that less teams in any leagues raise the quality of play.

non-guaranteed contracts. The NFL has this right. The players are still guaranteed X% of all revenues every year and it makes everyone give a shit every year and not act like 1- lazy bastards or 2- animals. I don't like the idea of saving these teams from themselves, but what else can you do' I watch a ton of NBA and too many of these guys are just so unmotivated once they get paid. You sign Elton Brand like my 76ers and you could draft the perfect player every year at your spot in the draft and you'll never win. If Samuel Dalembert could be cut after the season you think he'd be out ...

this. most people that played baseball in HS could sit there and hit line drives off 70 mph straight pitches. I asked this question before with a bigger sample size. I wondered if the league MVP in HS got 500 ABs in one season, would he hit above .050. Crazy that it's doubtful he could even do that. What about the top scorer in a city HS basketball league' I think he could score 10 ppg if he got 25-30 shots a night. Top RB in the same he gain 1000 yards on 300 carries behind the best OL'

I think you're dead on. It was said at the last tribal council about how he lied when he didn't even need to lie. Still...none of that changes the fact that if it werent for him, in this season, the two people with him were less likely to go as far as they did than he would have without them. Parvati he needed. Sandra could have been replaced by almost any useless non threatening contestant from any season ever. Like I said, I'm okay with Parvati winning. She made moves.

the social game can't matter most. The people around the longest screw the most people over. The earlier you're voted off, the easier it is to not screw anyone over. DUCY' Beyond that, I'd make the argument that Russell really didn't screw as many people over as it looks like he did- and really only screwed Danielle over (pretty horribly and unnecessarily). JT got played by giving him the immunity idol. What should he have done, not taken it' Sandra's main objective was to win. She thought the best way to do that was to vote out Russell. She couldn't make this ...

no. the jury voted for the person that didn't make the decisions simply because the ones that did make the decision decided it was time for them to go home. It wasn't like Sandra had her own strategy, she just wasn't the front man of her alliance. The way the jury approached the vote was a joke. They never even asked Russell questions. The few times he was addressed, Sandra or Parvati tried to interrupt. I really thought the whole last tribal was a dog and pony show.

there was no other argument for voting for Sandra other than this. The jury is filled with haters every season except ones where the winning tribe at the merge stays together and votes for their own leader.

Sandra got the vote simply because people hated Russell. They never even asked him questions at the last tribal council. I'd been saying that every season almost it's just people that are bitter at the person who led the opposition and wanting to spite them. LOL @ the social game mattering most. Sandra couldn't get her main objective accomplished and she admitted it. Her winning is pathetic. Really pathetic. Parvati I coulda bought. Russell did save her...just saying.
