The JackAss
Let me tell you about a friend of ours we call "JackAss". JackAss aka Matt Rodgers is a bartender friend of ours who's got many stories to tell. All of which are false and no where near logical. Pure diarrhea of the mouth when this guy is talking. The only truth that comes out of this man's mouth is when he says his name. I some times even wonder if his real name is Matt Rodgers. Well a couple weeks ago a bunch of us were at his bar getting pretty toasty when someone started a conversation about poker. Well JackAss immediately chimes in about how he's won this tournament and that tournament ...

A Tale of Terror!!!!
The other night I was playing $5-10 limit HE at a buddy's house. I was having a pretty good night taking down many many large pots. Myself and a good friend of mine were the two big stacks most of the night. Bought in for $250 and had about $1200 in front of me when the following hand came up. I get dealt pocket 8s on the BB. Two limpers and its back to me. I raise....immediately the first limper raises which puts the other guy out. I call his raise and see a flop of 8 8 A. I flop four 8s. Goodnight Irene, I check. RAISE!!. He raises and I re-raise right back....we cap it out. The flop comes ...

Witness to Mayhem
I had the pleasure, or displeasure as you will find, of witnessing one of the most devastating poker hands I've ever seen in person. My buddies and I usually play $5-$10 Limit HE. Well I don't know if there was a full moon out that night but my normally anti tournament friends suddenly wanted to play a tournament. Fine. The nine of us agree to a $100 NLHE game. The fact we were playing a tourny was weird enough. But EVERYTHING was just a little askew that night. We had runner runner wins countless times. We had quads beat twice. Two straight flushes on the river. It was nuts. Well I manage ...

Just want to introduce myself
Cincy I have no affiliation with this site, but you should check out one of the prima poker network sites (ie. Royal Vegas, Gaming Club). I use to just play on star's mid-level buy ins and did reasonably. But there are always soooo many entrants. Huge payouts but really only if you make the final table. The prima sites have a lot of gauranteed $$$ tournaments with mid level buy-ins. There are usually only 100-300 per tourney, except for the large gaurantee tourneys. They usually get up to around 800. But check them out...I'm doing much better there.
