I am an idiot Playing a $30+3 Max 99 players Multi on Partypoker today, played very well throughout. Gets down to bubble, i'm taking advantage of others fears of bubbling ect. Then I did the worst thing i could have done on accident. -11 players left, top 10 place -I am above average -Next hand a short stack is all in for less than big blind Folds around to me on small with the only bigger stack than me on big blind at the table. I have a bad habit of playing with the bet meter before I call (to make the calling time uniform) and here is the funny part: I miss "call" and hit "all in." Big blind has aces. ... Stop N' Go you use the stop N' go generally when you are shortstacked and calling a bet while you're on a blind/ will be first to act after the flop against 1 other player. The idea is that pre-flop you don't have enough chips to push them out, but they may fold if they make nothing on the flop. I used this in a final table of a $30 rebuy and add-on last night. I had 6's on the big blind (7500/15000) with about 90,000 in chips. There were 9 players left out of the initial 410. Guy from the cutoff who had like 170,000 which was slightly over average raised to 45,000. I know he's not folding to another ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Partypoker SNGs -- Am I the donkey? Nice post. I had actually been playing the 200 sit and gos, the mini-step 5's and the step 3's and recently decided that its time to play more cash. When you're playing with other decent players, you only have a minimal edge. The blinds get so big so quickly that it takes most of the skill out of the sit and gos, albeit, at the lower levels, they are still profitable because the average player is so much worse, but at the higher levels it factors so much luck into it. Tiffany Williamson eh, I think generally you call here. Unless you read her for A's, although you have to consider it a possibility.... You're at the worst a 70% favorite, a good chance you're an 80% favorite, and a very small chance that you're a 90% favorite (roughly equal weight to the chance she has A's) but... it depends on your goal for the tournament, and how big you are against the field. I pretty much will always call this and hope for the best. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I was destined to lose here, what are your thoughts about this kind of situation? well, Its actually closer to about 5:1; 47:9 if you're just looking at the draw on the turn. He was talking about over two cards where the odds would be closer to 2.5:1 than 3:1 but it doesn't really matter. Considering implied odds he did have odds to call your flop bet with a flush draw. Hope that cleared things up between you guys. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

cash game strategy yeah... it was kind of bad, should have laid it down on the turn. Thank you for your reply, if I run into any more tricky situations i'll post em'. Last night I busted 53rd/420 in a $100 multi (top 50 paid) I was below average, blinds 300/600 I had 5600 on top of my big, average was like 7600. I had 4's on the big blind, guy in the cutoff who was average-stacked who'd bullied up to it raised to 1500 in the cutoff. I push, he calls with KQ and busts me... fun fun. sng advice sought well depends on what you're looking to do with your bankroll, how often you play, and what level of risk you're willing to take, are you playing multiple tables' etc... I'd play either 20's or 30's depending on your level of experience and comfort level... You could just as a rule play $30's above $800 if you go below that, move to $20's, if you get down to $400 move to $10's. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Uh-oh, I'v been thinking......... Nutz I agree with you. I play on party where the format is really weak compared to stars (I know you play on party too seeing as you're in EVERY event I enter...) anyways I've had this problem too in the $100/$150 freezeouts where after the first hour blinds are up to 50/100 and if you've stayed at the starting stack you need to double up. This is one of the reasons I like $30 rebuys on party. Anyways, I think you may be on the right track, calling with hands that draw well and playing good post flop poker. Then you get the 200K and larger money guarunteed events with upwards of 2000 players. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

yall will love this hand.... blinds 10/20, limped in with good posistion, why not take a flop there' there is no justice... he had a great flop, and got unlucky. If you can force opponents to two outs on the river every time man, you're set. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AK vs QQ in 1/2 NL I don't really like calling with 3 other people in the pot (potentially more) I think an all in is a little drastic (against any half decent players you only get called by A's, K's) I like a pot-sized or slightly over it raise much more. If you bet 60 here, you'll be giving any hand worse than Q's a chance to fold. If you get called you can bet the flop. Just my opinion. If you bet 60 and get reraised, especially if it was by the initial raiser, I probably lay this hand down because you should be beaten. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

How would you play this one? this isn't a bad play... it depends a lot of the table and the nuy-in of the event... I think moving in pre-flop is incorrect, but also I wouldn't probably have raised so much pre-flop generally when someone moves in for less than double the blind and you have a hand you'd have bet with normally I take my normal bet and add a little to it, so with A's here I may have raised to like 1200 but pushing the flop is an easy play here...
