I think you need some sort of self-control. You could learn about a philosophy or something else with meaning. I felt a similar way, until I started to read Friedrich Nietzsche. A book called Thus Spake Zarathustra to be more precise. Many might find this book depressing, but I found it incredibly uplifting and enlightening. I'm not saying go buy the book (even though I love this book). I'm saying there is more to life, such as the need and will to become something more than average. "That which is common has little or no value" However, if you’re a Christian I would NOT recommend this book ...
