Re:Gator93 Wasn't looking to debate who the best player is or ever was. Just think gator93 can compete successfully with anyone. Anyway, congrats gator on a great scoop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Who is tapping Pamela Anderson? Has Pam Anderson watched the girl-bartered-to-pay-off-gambling-debt flick "Honeymoon in Vegas" one too many times' In what we sincerely hope is the maturing bombshell's idea of a joke, she tells Ellen DeGeneres that she's fallen for an unnamed professional poker player who spotted her $250,000 -- and didn't require a cash repayment. "I paid off a poker debt with sexual favors and I fell in love," says Pam, 40, whose two ex-husbands -- Tommy Lee and Kid Rock -- got into a girlie fight during the MTV VMAs on Sunday. "It's so romantic. It's ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Has UB discontiued tournament dollars? In an email confirming my winning a sattelite into their 200K, the last sentence said I could'nt unregister because I won my entry through a sattelite. Last week I was able to unregister and get tournament dollars, but this is a new line in their email. Have they changed policies or is it a bluff to keep people from collecting tds' Since I can't play this Sunday, should I try to unregister and see if they cheat me out of the $215' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): is 57% v. 43% enough of an edge to push all in? T.Y. for the responses. In retrospect, I know laying down and waiting is a better play than tempting someone with a double up and chance to get near the chip leader. Those 20% payout tourneys don't pay diddly until final table, so not much difference if you win $39 or $44. To win the $6,000 you need chips and racing in that spot was just gambling and not good poker. As it was, I wanted him to lay down the KJ, as he should have, but that is the problem with $3 rebuys. Not a lot of 2nd level or 3rd level thinking. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

is 57% v. 43% enough of an edge to push all in? This has been bugging me all night. Blinds 2,000/4000 with ante 400. I have 100,000 chips in sb with A9. Folded to D, who has 120,000 chips who bets out 20,000. I push all in. He calls with KJ. Of course K flops, but was my push too aggressive' Was folding a better decision' This was a $3 rebuy, Stars tourney with over 3,500 players and we were down to 250. Chip leader had 250,000.... My table image was TAG (or so I thought). Looking for feedback. Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Freedom quote from Quiet Lion: Caesars Palace gave me two bottles of their house label Cabernet. I took them to FedEx to ship them home and was told it was illegal. Now I can't play online poker, ship wine to myself, carry shampoo on an airplane, or smoke cigars in a cigar lounge. Too bad the Soviet Union isn't in business any more or I would consider moving to a more free country. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Chrisc7 on a roll This kid won 3 sattelites yesterday on UB and just knocked my out on the bubble in one today. Three times he called my PP bets on draws and all three times he drew out. So, I'm not complaining about bad beats, I'm alerting the field to this guys very hot run. (But I am pissed that I can't win a flip.. but that's another post). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Aruba tourney ... 3 in a row? I am not nearly as good of a poker player as ship it, so I offer this opinion cautiously. It seems to me that you do not want to put a large part of your tournament stack on the line with 88 or 44. The AK is harder to lay down, but on Green Plastics cardrunner videos, he often lays down AK to raises in front of him- and he very rarely pushes with it- because if called you probably have to win a race. Tournament play with good structure and low blinds allows you to lay off of marginal hands. Your risk is great and the tournament is NOT going to be won on the 1st day.. only lost. With $36K at ... Michigan Poker Open This Weekend IcYRavEnHaWk told me about this event at ecrew last night. takes you to Leelanaw Sands casino just north of Traverse City. Texstear blind structure (slow) should make for a good, fair tourney. Friday $100, Sat. $150, Sun. $500 buy ins. Limited to 100 players. Hope to see some of you there. I'll be wearing my P5's T shirt (some of the time). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): "When It all doesn't work Together" I found writing to UB support and requesting removal from the blacklist helps. I do that regularly and get their standard reply that there isn't any blacklist, but then I get a streak where I avoid the beats and sometimes actually administer one or two. Of course, after a win or two, the same old routine begins again. You know you are a "solid" player, and even take "risks" once in a while in position, etc. But the variance factor is just the hardest part of poker. You have to love the game and know that over time (which can be a very long time) the odds pay off. Also, multi table tournaments ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
