Re:Is this a leak or standard... in a sit-n-go UTG here you could make an argument for folding MAYBE and also for raising maybe 2.5x and folding if the big stack shoves and calling when anyone upto about 1700 shoves on you. In a tourney where you've got to double up ALOT more times to win I think the shove is proably the most EV decision. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Am I allowed to fold or is this a must call? If that is true, then you probably don't want to open 88 at UTG +2 with an M of 8. If you fold, you can still resteal and still open shove and have good fold equity. You'll still have a solid stack at your table. I have no idea how close to the bubble you are and where the rest of the feild is in chips. If you have 1000 fewer chips it would be a call for sure. If you have 1000 more chips it would be a fold for sure. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Anyone running 64-bit Windows XP ? This AV software is generally more trouble than it's worth if you keep your nose clean on the internet and have a decent firewall for your network. Of course not all AV software is the same, but there are more than a few BAD AV apps that will chew through your computers resources faster than the virus's that you'r protecting your PC from. Also WTF are you running winXP 64 for' Go get vista 64 or win7 64. winXP64 is bastard version of win2003 server that is neither server nor XP. It's probably the worst supported OS out there. Re:Most EV decision in this spot nah, never put somebody on quads. I was just thinking 8's full or another 6's full. Anyway I made it 400 to go and he folded, I was just thinking about it after the hand was over and thought maybe there was a better play on the river to make more money. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Shove or flat? yeah I shipped em, he had AT, flopped the Ace. You know your starting to go on tilt when you even question a call like this. Just one of those things when you run cold for a week you just need a reality to check to make sure your not snap shoving like a donkey. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:5c/10c flopped top set, should I fold the turn? well being that the preflop 3 better was the one who led the flop and after the mp player folded I'm heads up in position I thought calling might be better. If I reraise on the flop Ax will deffinetly fold, and a AA, KK hand may slow down. I planned on reraising the turn with just about any card. I thought letting the pot balloon, especially if he leads the turn it would be no problem getting our stacks in if he had a hand and would get an extra bet if he tried to two barrell. As for scare cards I'm not supper concered about the flush draw, I'm also not really worried about him ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:2 hands I'm confused about-HELP? 1) Even with ATC in hand #1 the villain should be calling your shove 100% of the time. So the question is, is A6 the hand you want to showdown for your tournament life. How far from the bubble are you' Are there more tables going' Those questions have at least as much of an answer on weather to take this spot as your cards do. Yeah I think you are probably ahead, but when you get called by 78s and the frlop comes QT7, you're just as screwed. So If you think that you can float with your stack and cash and pick up some by stealing. If the tables been aggressive, you need to double up to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Won the hand, but was my play wrong? I sort of revised my post about half way through writing it. The OP had better position than I initially had realized. I'm still not hot on raising 22, but I'd accept that you by being as deep raising and then folding to a three bet isn't horrible. and that if you get flatted playing post flop shouldn't be a huge problem for a good player. I'd say I'd be opening probably 55+,A2s+,K8s+,Q8s+,J9s+,T8s+,98s,87s,76s,A7o+,KTo+,QJo,JTo Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Won the hand, but was my play wrong? Point #1, no way I'm raising 22 on when we are that deep, you can't call a reraise, and it's unlikely that you'll be able to steal the blinds. So except for a slightly higher chance of flopping 3 of a kind, you're basically raising with complete air, since if one of the other stacks made it 250-300K to go, you'd be snap folding your 22. But as it played out now you've got to make a 300,000 chip call into a 500,000 chip pot. 1.6:1 on your money so need to win 38% of the time to be chip neutral EV. So what's the villians range, if he's as tight as you say, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
