Re:WCOOP ME Sweat Thread (Final 60)
Got to laugh at the clowns screaming about the alleged incorrect chip chop. The chop does show how the standard chop method does undervalue short stacks, which is why most players with a SS won't budge, unless there are some big concessions. Al' RLR

Re:NoMercy vs Annette_15 hand
It's a slowroll to the hordes of little toadies who incurred a beating to their cyber ego when Annette got beat. Given Annette's style of play, Isabetter probably feared Annette having a 5 or already having made her str8. Reverse the play and names and we get countless posts about Annette owning (which she does regardless of any one tourney or hand). The toadies are just fufilling their civic duty by crying about the slowroll after seeing Annette's "Better than you" comment. Al' RLR

Re:Stars & Their Opposition To Turbos (For The Most Part)
Bingo. Those of us with job's and other responsibilities are very limited in what we can play with regards to still getting to bed at a decent time, without being a zombie the next morning. Stars $11 turbo in the mornings is perfect, I waded through 1200 players in 2:16 one Sunday morning while setting up my FFB lineups. One or two of these would be perfect. Al' RLR

Re:I guess Annette's Ban had an effect.
Brilliant. A site's rules should not apply to certain players if they have hoards of mindless toadies ready to defend the player whose pubes they swing from, regardless of the fact that said player, knew about the rule and has been suspended for violating once before. To quote Annette: "OKOK I understand its 'illegal' even tho we're not colluding because everyone knew about it and could make their decisions accordingly.. Do I deserve it if they ban me again for being ignorant or is this as retarded as I think it is...'" Rules are rules, regardless of whether you ...

Re:Stars SNG Collusion Investigation **EDIT - CAUGHT EM!
Just got an email back from Stars after I sent them an email a week ago addressing my concerns over two players playing the same sit and go's together: --------------------- Hello Studly Poker Player, Again, thank you very much for your report. Our review of 'Evil Wench' and 'Evil Wench's Toadie' is now complete. We confirmed a relationship and found that they did go easy on one another (known as soft play) on occasion. This is a violation of our tournament rule #9 as posted at: We have the advantage of being able to replay the games with all cards exposed. We ...

Re:Look at this email I got from Stars..
At the risk of alienating hundreds of cybertoadies around the world, you make a post complaining about getting the ban hammer after once again doing something against 'Stars rules, something you even admit at the end is illegal. You then complain that its unfair since countless others do the same thing yet don't get caught. Huh' Are you serious' I'm thrilled Stars did this, especially to you, because it shows me that they will enforce their rules regardless of whom it is. You have a great reputation both for online and live poker and yet Stars will still put you on the sidelines, ...

Re:LIFE BAN FROM POKERSTARS
It does suck, but put yourself in their shoes. They were asked by a customer to ban him/her for life. They do so. Only bad things can happen by then disregarding the customer's request later. ------------------ John Hammond: I don't blame people for their mistakes, but I do ask that they pay for them. Dennis Nedry: Thanks, Dad. ----------------- Al' RLR

Re:LIFE BAN FROM POKERSTARS
Clearly the sites only legal way to allow you back on is for you to kill yourself, then get resurrected. PokerStars is doing what you asked. Banned for life, you're obviously not dead yet. The customer comes first. If they let you back on, you could sue for them letting you back on, they're idiots if they let you back on. Al' RLR

Re:poker on a plane on ur laptop
I work in the General Aviation field (Business Jets or "Corporate Jets" as many refer to them) and have a slight insight into this, plus a few associates work for Boeing. The threat to safety is overblown regarding almost all electronic devices (other than the ones designed specificly to cause interference). All civil aircraft certified within the past 15 years have had to undergo HERF (High Energy Radio Frequency) testing to insulate the avionics, wiring and circuitry against intentional and unintentional interference from other electronic devices. With the vast array of ...

Re:WCOOP 2008 - Schedule Set!
I can see it both ways. The gainfully unemployed and college students are thrilled to limit the number of entrants with the number of Americans with jobs and Euros who can't make the poor times. Euro's, people with jobs so bad they can't schedule a day off three months in advance, and those of us with a life that don't want to tie up our lives around an online tourney don't like it. Do what I do. Schedule a few vacation days in advance so that you can play in an event, qualify through a satty, then miss it because you get called out of country. Al' RLR

Re:Can Someone Please Explain the Thinking Behind Berating a Dealer for Unlucky Cards
There can be a dozen reasons, none which are excusable. Many people are social retards looking to blame someone else for their lack of success / skills. Many of the same clowns who bag on dealers bag on poor players. I see this all the time, especially when I'm in poorly run card rooms. Last night, in Oklahoma, in a well run room with good dealers, one of the guys at my table in a tourney felt the need to flex his "felt muscles". We had a gal at the table dealing and doing a decent job. I'm in seat one, and our hero is in seat two. As the hand is being dealt, I reach for my ...
