Phil Ivey's Facebook Page
I strongly believe that everything in that statement is from Phil's heart. What worries me is Phil is cutting ties with FTP but other pros Gus, Patrick, others, are still sporting the FTP logo at the wsop ' Its a possibility Phil might know something about the future plans of FullTilt he really really doesn't agree with which might not be the best news for US players hoping to get their money back in the near future. Let's not forget Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer both stepped down from their chairs on the PPA. Theres a handful of people a the top of FTP and Ivey was one of em. If he's the ...

Re:POKERSTARS*** Catches and bans CHEATERS!!
I have to agree. Stars support is the best. Once I was paying a tourney that kept starting and freezing, I got a little frustrated and emailed them. They asked for the tourney # and 2 days later they send me an email stating they did indeed have technical issues and refunded my account with the buy-in.

Re:FTP Points/Rewards
i do agree that the rewards system is horrible, but lol @ them not being able to afford a better one. most items are pretty much retail value which im sure is much much higher then the cost to full tilt meaning the pennies you get back in points are still being sucked away from you for a type of 'profit' for the site.

Re:do sponsered pros get to play for free on their poker site?
Yes but Mike is part of Team Full Tilt, which I am sure falls under a completely different category than Friends of full tilt/Hendon Mob who are still red pros on the site. To my knowledge the only two ppl added to Team Full Tilt in recent year were Patrick Antonius and most recently Tom Dwan. Lets face it there's only so much space on that company jet. As far as Friends of Fulltilt I would assume its contract to contract but as far as details besides 100% rakeback I can't comment.

Re:cash game cheater
This would suck but I don't think could happen. The rake has a max and blinds are forced, you get a reward for your time at the table which ensures you pay a minimum in rake/hr. My local casino has a reward system for poker as well and it is payed /hr at the table. They know the min they are getting from you sitting there and pay back much much less while usually earning much much more.

Re:Canadian Player Playing in WSOP 2010 Tax Questions
RMS or Refund Management Services is the company garyak1 was talking about. Thats the name of the company. I've seen their commercials, have never used them but 25-15% commission could be high if you make a big score. If you do make a big score I would look around for a flat rate from an accountant, or some offers from accountants, firm, or companies to get the most in your pocket at the end of the day.

Re:Canadian Player Playing in WSOP 2010 Tax Questions
If you do win anything significant then spend the couple hundred dollars on an professional accountant as they will maximize everything you are eligible to receive. I remember asking SirWatts (Micheal Watson) this question when he was at my table once and he told me that hold a % of the winnings but you can get it back. I'm gonna play an event or two this year as well and if I do win anything then I'll obv fill out anything Harrah's ask and then hire an accountant in Canada, and as mentioned above keep all receipts from the trip. On a side note I know the tax laws in the states ...

Re:what to do with AA here in 5$ early double
Unless you have a read on the villain and know he's only shoving here with two pair or better there is still many hands you have beat and a lot of draws that your ahead of. QJ KJ JT, he could have a J with a heart draw, maybe just a flush with a KhQh or even KK/QQ.he could have 86 with or without hearts. imo with half your stack in the middle you go here unless you know he's not gonna shove a draw or 1 pair.
