Gotchya, I see what your saying now. But what happens to the world when the current monetary system collapses' I mean do you own gold bars in your house' Seems like if the USD actually collapssed there would be riots and i dont see how owning a couple gold mining stocks would really matter. It kind of looks like what you need to happen is for the monetary system to slightly faulter, but not completely collapse in order to prevent total chaos, but to inflict enough fear in people that they start to put their trust in an alternative money supply. That seems like a pretty unlikely scenario no'

The thing I don't really get about gold is HOW its a protection against world collapse and inflation. I just can't wrap my mind around why anyone would give gold any value at all in a depression. It isn't connected to the money supply anymore right' Can anyone explain this logic' BTW I'm not trying to be a dick USC, i honsetly just don't get it.

Pretty much this haha. As warren buffet says "An ounce of gold today will still be an ounce of gold in an eternity." I'll stick with solid companies that produce tons of free cash flow year after year. Its the simplilest and best way to invest and always has been. No matter how down on the US gov't or stock market you are, good companies will continue to go up if they are making money and providing a product that the world wants. Simple as that.

I'll save you the time. It never ended, they just cut it off at the mid-season break haha. I don't think the walking dead is going in that direction though. The problem with heroes is that they jammed so much of the story into season 1, they had nothing to write about after. The Walking Dead seems to be the opposite, every episode is a slow build-up for the epic showdown at the end of every season.

TomorrowLand 2013 -- anyone else going ?
Man I would fucking love to go to this. I've been to a bunch of the American festivals (EDC, Ultra etc) but I think tomorrowland would be on another level. Anyone who doesn't try an EDM festival at some point in their lives is making a huge mistake, whether you like the music or not.

Essential Amino Energy has to be one of the best pre-workouts supps. Almost no strange ingredients like the rest of them. Take it with creatine monohydrate powder and its basically a safer version of NO Xplode and all the rest.

Coconut oil, avocado's, nuts, peanut butter are all pretty healthy and pack a decent amount of calories. Lately I've been making high calories smoothies to hit my calorie goals. 2 cups almond milk, 2 scoop whey protein, 1 cup oats (ground up into a powder in a blender first), 2 tbsl peanut butter, 1 banana, and sometimes i'll add in coconut oil. This will get you over 1000 calories in one shake and its pretty healthy overall.

If your goal is just to get fit then don't even focus on calories at all. Just work on improving your workouts and eat as clean as possible. Results will follow if your eating the right foods. Its extremely hard to overeat when the majority of your meals consist of lean protein meats and veggies. Once you get a couple months into your routine and see some results you should be able to figure out where you want to be weight wise.

I would focus less on the calories consumed and more on what your consuming. Do something similar to the slow-carb diet mentioned earlier and make sure your working out hard multiple days a week. Although MyfitnessPal is pretty sweet and a great way to see how much your eating, I've found that the calories it tells you to eat are usually pretty off from what you need in reality.

Tim Ferris is awesome. I posted the link to the 4-hour body in OT like 3 years ago when it first came out and got laughed at basically, but the slow carb diet really does work. Its all very simple science and tons of people have lost weight doing it.

Man, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. My gym offers a couple classes for free, and I do the "soft flow yoga" class, which sounded easy but is actaully pretty hard haha. I'm not flexible at all so hopefully this will help improve my squats, which are my biggest weakness lifting wise.

I hear you. Sorry for being intense about something so minscule. I take my health way to seriously sometimes and forget that most people are only trying to make themselves look better haha. As a new topic, does anyone here do yoga' I've been doing it for the last 3 weeks, but can't make a judgement as to whether its helping or not. I've heard that flexibility can limit your muscle growth (as in, if your not flexible you will plateau) Anyone know if this is true or not, or have any experience with it'

Can't really agree with the diet soda comment. From what I've read the sweet taste spikes your insulin levels just as much as a regular soda, so even if you arn't getting the calories, its still terrible for your health. /

Borgata Winter Poker Open 2013
Heading down this Friday for the $400 event and whatever else they have running over the weekend. Don't know why you are all so upset about the re-entry aspect. This isn't online poker, no one is just shipping it in and rebuying 10 seconds later. Live poker is so slow moving that it 90% of the field hasn't even lost by the time the re-entry period ends anyway.

I would try Green Tea, or really any kind of tea (as long as its actual tea, not like brisk sweetened iced tea). It's got some decent health benefits and a lot of them taste delicious, especially the flavored ones. I drink the Yogi ones a lot at work, and occasionally grab some loose leaf ones from Teavana.

Definitely after - You get like a 45 minute - hour window right after you workout where your muscles will flood with any nutrients you eat/drink, so try to get the protein in during that window. Taking it before your workout won't do much, although I usually need to eat like an hour before i workout otherwise I feel weak and tired.

Agree with this. Smoothies are amazing and give you a ton of energy. I just got a vegetable/fruit jucier and absolutely love it, but a regular blender works just fine too.

Finally a thread I can contribute to in OT where I don't need to be afriad of Dyz destroying me! Little background on myself: I'm not certified in anything fitness but since college I have been working out like a maniac and my biggest hobby is improving my overall health and well being. I am now 26 years old, 150lbs with 5% bodyfat. I workout 4-5 days every week and basically have been since I was 20. My goals for this year is to start doing Yoga 1-2 times a week and Meditating 5 days a week in addition to everything I did in 2012. Read most of the thread and the lifting advice is pretty ...

You seem very confused as to how to multi-table. Each table pops up one at a time when they are all stacked on top of each other. He isn't making 50 decisions at once. He's making 1 decision at a time, 50 times in a row. With hotkey's and enough practice and determination a lot of people can do this.

Pretty much agree with everyone else here. I stick with P5's because of the way it is. 2+2 is overwhelming and I would hate to see P5's try to copy that design. Also this is a tournament poker site, so its already specific enough without dividing it into more sub-categories.
