Re(2): Poker in Kuala Lumpar? Thanks for the input donaldleee, i am in KL for 2 days then borneo for 5, for a work conference. My GF hates flying so i thought i would extend our stay over there by a few days at the end. If she didnt hate flying so much, i would definately do Singapore. The conference finishes on a Friday, so thought we would just extend over the weekend... i figured that would be enough to see ALL the sites of KL.. GL at the tables. POCKET 5's beat Phil Gordon live. Had to share this little story.... Drove 3 hours from my home city Canberra Australia (the capital of Australia) to Star City Casino in Sydney to play in a satelitte to a $500K tourney held in mid december. To my surprise they announce that Phil Gordon is playing in the tourney as part of his visit to australia. Even better i drew seat 5 on the feature table, he is in seat 3. About an hour goes by, he has scooped a few pools and comments that he is "still undefeated in the southern hemisphere" . I won a few pots and have increased my stack from $5k to about $5.5K. I am the big blind (150) ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): SunPoker P5s Promo Update Extremely pumped about the promo, please advise ASAP of the date these tourneys will happen as i have to book some time off work to play. I am in Australia and i am sure it will be held in the middle of my day here. TY Steppy. PS... i emailed you when i first signed up, 4 months ago, and you suggested you may send me a sunpoker hat to wear in my local casino... it may have got lost in the air mail'''' lol. If i could still get one sent out, i would be proud to wear it at the tables of Australia Capital City. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

actions to get a reaction I play at my local casino in canberra (the capital city of Australia) every week and No limit cash games have only just been introduced over the past 5 weeks or so - local government is very slow. One particular player each week is either stretching the rules or showing poor etiqutte by reaching for his chips and motioning them slightly forward, only about an inch or so, but is looking for a reaction from the other player/s in the pot then either folding or betting after that. i was fed up with it last night, and suggested that it wasnt in the spirit of the game and also could be forced to ... Re(1): is party poker that bad? I understand that he probably read me as ak or aq or whatever, but he wa chip leader late into a tourney, and the 2nd chip leader (that was me) raised then went over the top of his reraise. He has to know that if i have a pair that i am ahead or even if i have ak or aq he is risking most of his stack on a coin flip. The comment about the graphics is the same for party poker, but if all the plays are that bad i am happy to put up with some shitty graphics to make money :>) and UB they are much better players. Thanks for everyones input. steppy Posted in: Poker Discussion |

is party poker that bad? Hi all, this is my first post. I have been reading threads on this site with interest for the past few months and it has encouraged me to check out a few of the other playing sites out there. I have played mostly at paradise and like the rest of you i am growing tired of the site and its imperfections. I have had reasonable success at the MTT's but seem to have difficulty closing out in the bigger R and A tourneys (the $10, $15 and $30) although i have placed 2nd twice in the $10 palm tree. I deposited some $$$ into a few different sites, UB, Fulltilt, Regal vegas, bodog, just to see what ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
