Agreed! But just a thought: maybe the 90K is intended mainly as a euro tournament and they don't want europeans to have to stay up till 7am like earlier stated. And the $8 is more intended for US nits playing during the day and thus have time for a slower structure. But you are right, it doesn't make a ton of sense. Cause it is called the DAILY 90K.

spot deep-ish in ftp 40k
Isn't this more like a 40BB flip, not an 80BB flip, as hero is only sitting with 40BBs. Looking at the line up at this table, it was probly very aggro. What was the 3bet frequency at the table' The higher it was....the higher the liklihood that villian is calling in EP there hoping for a 3bet behind with a monster. So, even if 88 and 77 are a part of his range it isn't enough to balance out TT-AA. I really think this decision has a lot to do with read on villian and the dynamics of the table at that point. Good thread so far!

I had only been sitting with villain for about 15 hands so didnt have much of a read. He had bet a couple of pots pre and took them down with C-bets on the flop. My reasoning on the hand was to flat pre to see a flop. With that texture I didnt want to gamble against a dry Ac so I went for the check/call line with then intention on leading out on any non club turn. Bad line' What should I have done differently' THANKS!!! Next time see if he will pay you the 5K on the side, and still report the "official results" as they were and he just pays you 5k, If he is the baller he says he is and the money doesnt matter to him then he should have the 5K available to give you. You see what I am saying, just something to consider next time :)

I think you did the right thing by chopping....but if hes main concern was that stupid trophy, I would have offered a chip chop. Where you would have been compensated for your chip equity. Next time, dont be so anxious to say yes or no to a chop, but counter with a deal that suits you best. I do think you made a mistake by taking a 50/50 with a CL, but you played with the guy for however many hours, so I think you took the chop to avoid the "scared money" syndrome again. But really, taking the chop was being "scared money" or "smart money" or a little of both. ...

Unfortunately, with the line youd taken to the this point you have to call, getting 3 to 1 on your money. next time, check the turn in this spot and you wont have to play for stacks with only one pair. Or get the pot bigger sooner so you can get all of the money in on the flop, with a high confidence that you arent up against a mini set. If you are a SNG player you should be putting in high volume, so just fire up another one. gl at the tables.

Ok, 200 is a little much at 10/20, but I am making it no less than 120 here preflop. And I get a lot of calls from worse hands consistently at this level of sng with this line. The main logic behind making it 6-8x preflop here is to make your decision making easier later in the hand and to avoid a multi way pot. I think what you are missing is that you are offering both blinds and the limper good odds to call you preflop with the 4x raise. You DONT want to play a pot 4 handed with AK, HU is ideal and I think this bigger raise will get you there. And if you are up against TT+ you are only ...

I know it sounds bizarre, and I could be wrong in doing so. But, if there is a limper early in a small stakes sngo, I am not making it less than 150 with AK, QQ+. I know this seems kind of counter intuitive and that any good player would fold hands like AJ, AQ. But, there are a lot of bad players at this level of sng and if you are limping on level one of a sng you are not a good player. I also play only turbos, and I cant remember if you said it is a turbo or not. You are not trying to let good players in cheaply here, you are trying to get bad players in for a price where you can ...
