Australian born Steve "stevoL" Leonard got his start in 2005 by grinding low-stakes cash games and Sit & Go's. After taking two months off in 2006, Steve renewed his dedication to the game and quickly became one of the most successful 6-max mid-stakes cash game players on PartyPoker.

In mid 2007, Stevo caught the tournament bug, and has since put up very impressive results, including an outright victory in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl on June 22nd, 2008 for $64,500. In August '08, he placed 2nd in the Stars $100 rebuy for $29,500 and followed that up with an outright victory in that same tournament a month later for $28,600. In early October of that same year, he took down the PokerRoom $150k Guaranteed Big Deal for another $43k. He also has wins in the Full Tilt $32k Guaranteed, the UB $20k Bounty, the PokerRoom $50 Rebuy, the Full Tilt $50 Rebuy, and the PartyPoker $20k Guaranteed.

More recently, Steve has a win in the Full Tilt Poker $33k Guaranteed for $19,900 and dual victories in the Stars $100 Cubed (1 rebuy + 1 add-on) event for $16,000 (July '09) and $13,400 (May '09). In October '09, Steve took down the Cake Poker $100k Guaranteed for $26,200.
