Re(3): JJ facing a shove, stupid call? Whether you call or not isn't the issue. The size of the buyin isn't the issue. The issue is you are trying to get an answer to a specific hand where there is no specific answer. You lost and move on. You'll lose as many times as you win in the same spot until you die. Next time put a note on the guy and move on. $2 players will make the same move again and again. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): AP's Response to Superuser accounts Has anybody seen other peoples hole cards while playing online' It's clear it seems possible, but who has ever seen it before' It's kinda of hard to make an accusation of something I've never heard anyone admit to online seeing personally. Re(7): lol at venessa rouso Clearly based on her education background she is not stupid. Taking that into consideration it is obvious she is playing the role of the dumb airhead. Tactically it is smart to have your opponents take you for granted. Whether her poker smarts are as good as she portrays them is questionable. Is suspect her actual personality is a chatter box who can not keep her mouth shut and she uses that to her advantage at the poker table to portray herself as weak and uses interviews to reinforce it. Re(4): WPEX 3 $5000 added tournaments Tu, Th, and Friday I hope this works. It's hard to stay competitive going 100% rakeback. They tried. Hopefully with any marketing they can improve on losing 2/3rds of the 600 cash game players they maxed out at. I doubt it though. A+ for legitimately trying to make a difference. After they had the cover of cardplayer last year I doubt you can market yourself any better than that and still fail. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Open limping Whenever I try to get cute with big pairs I rarely end up in a good spot. SC clearly points out that by always raising big hands will play back at you and that then becomes a more consistant means of acquiring chips when you re-pop. To slow play the hand puts you in greater potential harm to lose big rather than at minimum win a small pot. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Home Game Help...... The people in the hand know what they folded and should not be giving advice to somebody else on how to play their hand. One person to a hand obviously. The problem to player A is whether they asked for help. Just showing your hand in a cash game doesn't imply asking for help. If they asked for help then hand should be dead. If not, a warning needed to be given for the future. Player B should have been pissed. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Hellmuth ends the debate Being a prick is his true genius. He picked up very early that with an image he could market himself and make more money selling his image than playing poker. Now a lot of players have jumped on the create an image bandwagon. The poster children are humberto and laak. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Vanessa Rousso on Poker After Dark The few shows she's has been on she has always been a talkative know it all who can not keep her mouth shut. Everytime she is on TV they hype the fact she graduated in like 2 1/2 years and is super smart. Newsflash: Most top poker players are super smart. There are too many players who get on TV and feel the need to verbally analyze everything in an attempt to justify why they make a particular move in order in case it's a wrong one. Also, can Chad Brown do no better than her' She is attractive, but far from hot. Chad brown is ripped. If I had Chad Brown's money, body, and TV exposure I ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Farha/SBrugby High Stakes Poker I think sammy was making reference to numerous tells and awkwardness in Brian's live play last show. I read the show is shown out of sequence and the last show was supposed to be early in the session and Brian really looked like uncomfortable. I think Sammy would love to see Brian all day in live games and probably would want no part of him online. Barry makes a lot of online references and from the sound of things doesn't do that well. Re(8): POKER AFTER DARK The show is great. Most of the shows the players really care about winning. Not for the money, but for bragging. The show also has a lot of personality. Other than occasional Ali comments. The show is mostly players talking. The daily show shows a lot of hands. If you want fast paced action like most shows TIVO the Saturday director's cut. The play on this show is right up there with high stakes poker. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

If you really want to get at it do we really exist' Does anything really exist' Better to just play poker. Any cheating isn't big if at all. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): I HAVE BEEN HACKED! The whole arguement by a few in this thread that if your account gets hacked the site is responsible for your losses is a joke. The site didn't not get hacked. A password was figured out. If you have a lot of money anywhere, it should be protected. It's common sense. The are plenty of programs that will generate a fairly secure password. Most of the big names here are targets. Most I bet are being targeted right now and will only know of it once it becomes successful. You don't leave your door unlocked and you should leave your money unprotected. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): Gold vs. Moneymaker moneymaker doesn't cash because he doesn't play much and doesn't have to. He appears to be a much better player now than when he won the main event. Gold seem like a one trick player who has had his one trick exposed. On high stakes Gold shows a big bluff on doyle and then gets called on the river twice for big pot losses by players with no hand. Don't you show a big bluff to get called later when you actually have a hand' Players beg him to talk now. He's dead money. The big cash game players on this site should hope someday Gold ever sat down against them. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Making a marginal pot odds call for a big chunk of your stack late in a tourny? No donk makes a call that far in with king high. If you are playing the player in that spot the re-steal could be seen as weak. At worst guy goes from 80,000 to 50,000. Was a loose call based on cards, but after bubble a resteal could easily have been done by somebody with only 33,000 with less that premium hand. Especially by a player who has nothing to gain by slotting up a few spots. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Making a marginal pot odds call for a big chunk of your stack late in a tourny? Once you cash to have a 60/40 chance at going from average stack to big stack if you read a re-steal as weak, then calling isn't that bad a play. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): FTP compensation for going down. To go str8 chip count isn't really that fair in most cases. Full tilt must have known for at least an hour that a shut down was going to happen. They shut it down right a midnight eastern time. To not have a process in place to send out emails is weak. People wait to see if play is going to continue and at that time at night some might want to sleep rather than wait while reading posts on various sites. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Poker is a game of skill (warning: rant) For a great poker player to start this rant he needs some reality. Right or wrong when you become successful at anything there are going to be people who are going to take personal shots at you. Annette is big right now and there is going to be ignorant people who will make fun of her. Sucks for her, but I'd trade her bankroll for some fools who make fun of me. Take a look a Liebert, Duke, Harman. Are any of them hot' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Making a marginal pot odds call for a big chunk of your stack late in a tourny? He could have easily put you on a resteal since you just cashed and final table is where real money was. A player of your talent could easily have put him on a standard steal and could have repoped with nothing figuring he would fold. If he thinks this is the case he could call and be in the lead or not too big of a dog and reward of big stack at that stage was worth risk. It worked well for him in that case. I doubt I would ever made that call. Probably why I suck. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(8): question for full tilt players Is this some sort of joke' This is part of the email I get back from full tilt. - If you were not "in the money", everyone in the tournament (including those who busted early) will be refunded the full buyin for the event. I'm in 2 mtt's that were around second break and over half the field in both who have already busted will get buyins back' 1 was a rebuy. Waste 2 hours plus 90 minutes waiting stupidly to have everyone get their buyins back' ftpdoug...this has to be a joke' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): world poker exchange still can play there. Rakeback is great traffic is poor. Rakeback really doesn't matter much for mtt's and sng's and therefore alot of players don't put their money there.
