how do you rebound from a disappointing session? Sounds like you play quite low/micro buy in stuff' If that's the case then the sad fact is you will experience many difficult days, especially if you are targeting Monster field tourneys on stars. I would suggest maybe planning yourself out a much lower variance schedule, with just a couple of the really big field mtts thrown in to add potential for a big score. Target smaller field mtts, there are plenty of those on Ub, merge network, cake, bwin etc etc, and try adding some 45 man Sngs in for lower variance bankroll building when you have gaps in your mtt schedule. This should allow you to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Tough Spot MiniFtops $100, thoughts pls. Yeah, the flat of the reraise pre opened up his range more in my mind at the time, including mid pairs and suited big aces and and his smooth of the flop bet didnt do much to disaude me from that line of thinking. I knew a slow played big pair was a posibilty but when the turn didnt hit any flush draws and only let nines get there against me i felt checking was too weak. On reflection i think flatting pre would have been a better line over all given how deep we were, certainly would have lost less overall. Everyday's a school day. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:ban poker tracker Thats right, you can. But you are doing that manually and every note you make is based on YOUR observations. Therefore every read and edge you obtain has come from your own work. The tool gives you the same info as if you employed a guy to watch the table for you while you played and when it was time for you to make a decision call him over and ask him what he thinks! Two different scenarios completely. And neither have anything to do with sucking at math, just feel everyone should have a level playing field. And the pornhub thing depends on whch casino you go to! ;) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:ban poker tracker Cosign to the ban. Live poker and online poker should in effect be the same game. I haven't asked but i'm pretty sure if i asked for the cctv footage from the security cameras above my local 2/4 NL game so i could review how everyone had played their last 50 hands before making a decision i think they would say no.... Re:Link to Negreanu's string bet This about sums it up. What total bollocks, DN was obv intending to raise, wtf Deeb was moaning about when just about everyone has heard people use "raisey daisy", "up scope", "pop it up" etc etc... Next time someone says "I ship" or "all you can eat baby" when they check-raise all in are they gonna be forced to smooth call' course not, because their intention is clear. Until a definitive set of rules, published by one governing body is internationally accepted there will always be these questions, but as it stands surely the only angle shoot ... Re:Pokerpoker69 is a thief and a terrible horse Obviously i wasn't referring directly to politicians, just suggesting that public airing of crooked behaviour within the online community is not good for the image of the game. But that said, what better than public confessions from players who have behaved dishonestly if you are looking for supportive evidence against the credibility of the game' It would be ignorant to think these things don't get noticed by anyone outside of a few mtt and sng grinders. Re:Pokerpoker69 is a thief and a terrible horse Yeah this one has really buried any chance you had of preserving your credibility at all. To be fair the starting of this whole thread and the reasons behind it are pretty pointless, and it smacks of airing your dirty laundry in public, when you could have easily settled this dispute in private, especially if you live only 5 minutes apart. The fallout from it reflects positively on no one, and only serves to damage further the reputation of online poker and provide those lobbying against it with more valuable ammunition. Re:Am I making a mistake here or is this a cooler? Very observant post from Pikapp, and definate good points about the size of the 4 bets being clearly different, but after folding to his previous 4 bet and accepting that these details are hard to spot, especially multi-tabling as you probably were, i dont see how u can do anything else but play it how u did. Re:Congrats Akenhead!!! ironic really cos fwiw a friend of mine met helppi and bought him a beer, only for the guy to look at it like it had 2 heads when it was bought to him and say something along the lines of "why did u buy me this, i dont like it"... i also thought helppi was arrogant and decidedly ungracious in his post match interview. so all in all glad akenhead won, proof positive good things happen to good people.
