Full Tilt cashflow problems confirmed! $60 million in uncleared deposits I miss Stars. Just glad I had 99% of my money on there and had cashed out from these idiots a long time ago. Then again, I'm sure the money will get returned. These guys aren't AP/UB and still have operations to fall back on. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Re:PLO hand Graps is correct here... fold pre given the shallowness of the stacks and pay structure. Who forces people to play Omaha with all effective stacks this shallow' Might as well flip coins. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:1000 plo bankroll With a "decent" knowledge of the game, I would say .10/.25 playing $10-15 stacks/table should be alright... better players could play full stacks (40 buyins total) and be alright. I have played much much shallower than 100 BI and made it work, but anything below 40 to 50 is a huge risk. How many tables do you want to multi is another factor. Depends if you can afford to lose the 1K or not... if you're really committed to turning 1K into real money and want no risk of ruin, full buyin .05/.10 would be recommended. But the difference in average player skill between that and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:MIN BUY .25/.50 NL PSTARS Those tables are ridiculously tight at normal strength... I would suggest finding the looser games (look at the % flop seen and average pot statistics on each table you play) and try to find the tables with the crazy loose players, otherwise, a 20BB effective stack will require some pretty tight preflop poker in comparison to tourneys. I would give you a rough reshove range of AQ+, 99+, and that's pretty loose against the ranges of standard openers. Also will depend on position, strength of opponents, and a number of other factors. And .10/.25 is much better given bankroll size... 50 ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Stars world record tourny... Lucky losers are still losers. This guy went to high limit NL and FL and immediately lost 3K in two hours, then came back the next day and moved up in fixed limit to lose the majority of it, then went to NL and PLO and gave away the rest. Highly impressive case of donkery. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Rail call!!! blaah 9th Give me hand opinions 33 hand is bad, too many BBs to shove when you expect to be racing or crushed when called. If the raise were in later position and villain's stack were shorter, it would be much better. Here, it's marginal at best for pure chip accumulation. fold > shove > call-reassess > 3-b/call > 3-b/fold Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO hand Snap call in a vacuum... what are the tourney circumstances' Is this a shootout' satellite' Why are you 3-max' Really need to know more. One critique: Raise sizing could be better here. If you intend this as a steal, a raise to 750 will likely achieve that effect without necessarily committing you to a shove (though it probably will anyway). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Kinda sick spot 100r FT If crazy's smart/aggressive, this could be a move if he's seeing similar things to what you're seeing with you exploiting Markus. If there's no established history of you doing this to Markus or you don't think Crazy is capable of making that table dynamic kind of read, I fold... he's going to spike a hand in the 99+, AQ-AK range every time. Of course, there is also the math to consider, your call is (to do some very tough calculations) 120 for a pot of about 340-360, about 2 to 1 on the call. If it's a race (99-JJ) or AQ, it's a call. AK and higher pairs ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WTF spot vs. Raszi early in warmup 34s FTW... I can see where you're going with this hand... given RaSZi's reputation, check/call on flop is for extra value, check on turn too, you really want him to bet there so you can get it in. The board ran out really ugly for you, though I'm never putting him on AK here, he's either trips or full IMHO. I will say this... he has position and your line is really soft up to the river v-bet... I can see him jamming here a bit wider than the range you assigned. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Donating to tourny's tonight! If I win I will donate some $ to a micro stakes grinder. If you ran really horribly and lost < 10% ROI, doing this again would actually be a decent idea. Really depends on your feel for the tourneys you selected. I might reevaluate the 40K, the 75K, and the 30K, unless you really think you are +EV in those. Still an excellent idea, definitely repeatable. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Donating to tourny's tonight! If I win I will donate some $ to a micro stakes grinder. If you're talking about $200 to play mid-stakes, it better be tourneys... I play low-mid stakes PLO and $200 is at most 4 buyins. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:FTP Down? I think the idea is quite valid. It just won't get off the ground because too many money making players are equity whores or degens who can't stop. FTP is not awful, they are not doing this on purpose. What they are is negligent. Every e-mail we send, they take a week to get back to. Rakeback sucks. Pros rarely talk when they play and I wouldn't even count some of them as pros. They obviously felt some pressure last year over the cashout business, because that got fixed. My point is that Stars is 64366876344x better than FTP because they listen. Let's get off our asses and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

EFF Sundays: I never post these, but these two were particularly sick as they were in large field Sunday tourneys, occurred close to the money in one case and happened within two minutes of each other on two different sites. FTP tourney is 2K FTP (points) tourney where I had built a 13K stack with the blinds at 80/160 only to lose two races before that hand to get down to 4K and the Stars tourney is the Sunday 1/4 million, which I finally collected my first cash on in 20+ tries last week. Both hands seem incredibly standard to me, which is why this is definitely a bad beat/ridiculous cooler ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Do good players get away from AA here? , first hand in the 200 seat Guarantee !! I might raise more pre and give serious consideration that I might be beat with the minraise post, especially since the board is not that draw heavy. His range on the flop is probably something like QQ-KK, 33, 55, 88 and maybe 64s or JJ. Still, in a large field donkfest like this, I don't see myself getting away, simply because you're going to run into a very bad calibur of player that is probably worse than even this middle of the road range. Against a known thinking player/regular, I might get away here, but likely not otherwise. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:DEEP in mini FTOPS plo Agree, all the sites need badly to slap some guarantees on these tourneys, get me back to playing them, because they were crazy profitable. Also, stop moving all the good PLO tourneys/structures to the morning on the East Coast. I get that Euros play more Omaha, but those donks don't put out the numbers to rival what the old low-limit tourneys used to get in primetime. Time change + guarantees should be sufficient to maximize rake and fishies. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
