Funny Office Email (email of the year at our office... so far) Our office manager sent the following email because, well you can see why. We have been experiencing some cleanliness problems with the ladies restroom in the Exchange area. I’ve done some checking and determined that the problem does not lie with the cleaning crew. The restroom looks fine in the morning but deteriorates as the day progresses. On a couple of occasions it was so bad that associates refused to use it. We do not have a full time, on-site cleaning crew; nor is it Mike’s responsibility to clean up after those who cannot clean up after themselves. If it gets that bad again I ... Posted in: Off Topic |

S.C. Judge to reverse SC poker convictions CHARLESTON, S.C. -- A South Carolina judge will reverse the convictions of five Texas Hold 'Em poker players convicted of violating state gambling law. The Post and Courier of Charleston reports Friday that Circuit Judge R. Markley Dennis says the state Supreme Court would likely find it a game of skill, not chance, and that state law is ambiguous. The five were arrested three years ago in Mount Pleasant. A town judge ruled earlier that Texas Hold 'Em is a game of skill, but found the five guilty of operating a gambling house. A.I.G. Bonus Flap...Red Herring? This is very odd. The executive branch, both houses of congress, and the media have their panties in a wad over this. This seems to have come out of nowhere and from what I've read seems perfectly legitimate. Watch out! I think the people attention is being diverted from something else or we are being set up. Of course, I've been wrong before. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:use of the word "god" on Jan 20th Actually if you want to get super technical - TJ wasn't a founding father. They sent his ass to Paris to be ambassador. Your remembering about this being a 20th century issue may be from some mega church newsletter or Fox News but it is incorrect. This issue has been brought up and debated (and decided on) well before that. Okay, this is my last post on this thread. Look, just because you say it (This issue has been...) does not make it true. You are making assumptions (newsletter/Fox News). You should check your sources, I know I do. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:use of the word "god" on Jan 20th This discussion was not about TJ but I agree that he while he had a problem with Christianity (note that he "rewrote" the bible) but he did believe in a creator. The concept that the first amendment meant a total seperation of church and state as the secularist understand it today came about in the 20th century if I remember correctly. Also, TJ was not the only Founding Father. Have a Happy New Year! :) Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:use of the word "god" on Jan 20th I do not mean to sound insulting but perhaps you should make a closer study of early American history. I would also suggest that you read the founding fathers including the Declaration of Independence. As for the First Amendment, I wasn't aware that our taxes were used to support a national church. Re:use of the word "god" on Jan 20th 1. God, Jehovah, Allah; Same God, different flavor. 2. The US Laws and Mainstream society are based on Judeo/Christian beliefs. 3. The 1st Amendment does not even imply a seperation of church and state but instead states that the there will not be a national church (ie The Chuch of England) established by the goverment. 4. In the grand scheme of things, who cares whether or not there is a prayer or the mention of God' People who get upset over such things are generally (imo) unsure of themselves (God or no God') or have entirelly to much time on thier hands. That is all Posted in: Off Topic |
