Changing the name
Hey all Just so you guys know, I will be changing my handle from Suited-Hooks to ProjectSix. No particular reason why, just felt like I wanted a change ;) So watch out for me at the tables and say hello.. had a nice start today with the new name, I finished 8th in the 20k rebuy as one of the many bodies that Todd piled up. Limit is a different game at the low stakes and the high stakes. You were playing a $10 buyin tournament.. 10 dollars.. so yes, people play VERY loose and call all the way. But try playing a $100+ buyin limit tournament and you'll see a lot less of that going on. Just look at the limit window of any poker site.. the $0.05-$0.10 game has a 60% players seeing flop. But the $30-$60 game is about 20%. It really is COMPLETELY different.. low stakes limit is a lot of luck and chasing but at the higher limits there is more skill, when you play over a longer period of time. OUCH... What a beat.. The ole runner runner
I was playing 30/60 on UB and was going up and down between even all night. I got and raised it up. We saw a flop with 4 people. Flop is J . Jackpot! I play it fast, as I believe you should in limit, and raise as much as I can. The turn is which is a pretty safe card. On the turn somebody is raising me. I hope he doesn't have 67, but I'm happy to take that chance and reraise. The river comes and I hit my J's full. I'm hoping he has 67 now. We cap it on the river reraising eachother, and I'm thinking he has a smaller full house or the straight.. but he turns up 44 for the runner runner ...

It's certainly not the best structure by far, but if you're looking for a wild ride with huge swings.. try the Paradise rebuy tournaments :D

Props to pokerstars for getting involved and doing the right thing here. More sites should do this. It'd cost them a bit for the staff to check it out but it'd pay off in players being more happy with the site.. good job PS :)

Just got knocked out in 9th myself. brsavage got me.. I made a nice raise (3 1/2 times BB) with from early position and brsavage called from the BB with . Flop came . Brsavage puts me all in and I of course call. I could catch a A, K, Q or any heart to win the hand.. making me about a 60% favourite I believe. LOTS of outs. But the turn came and the river knocking me out in 9th. GL to everyone left, brsavage currently has a huge chip lead.. when a great player is playing well, getting good hands AND catching flops.. well he's going to be hard to beat.
