Re(7): first two games after stars assures me they are not cheating
1) you are 100% right, it is speculation, if I gave off the impresions otherwise, then that's my mistake. I'm merely pointing out a possibility. I don't think it can be proved its rigged, or for that matter, not rigged. That's all i'm saying. But YOU act like because there is risk of getting caught, and they make enough money anyway, then THAT, is irrefutable evidence - it is not. 2) that is open to debate, can't be proved either way And yes, I do own a business that does 150k/year. I've seen the business world. I've seen the shit people do behind the scenes. I personally believe in ...

*sigh* This argument is sooooooooooooooo old. Please go check out my 92 post thread. It refutes this argument quite handily. My first post. summary: it is a necessary evil from a business standpoint, if they didn't give luck upfront, they'd lost players we are not talking about a few extra dolalrs, by rigging it in this way, we are talking about a few extra hundred million and, they can't get caught and they know it that's the motivation Why did I get involved in this again'

Re(2): first two games after stars assures me they are not cheating
"You shouldget a db tracker program to find out. Build a db of hands and then youcan analyze what % you win with AA, or other hands, over time vs. what% you lose. If you have a good representative sample, I'd say severalthousand hands or more, you will probably find that the %s are in line." As I have said in another thread, it is very easy to satisfy these long term conditions, and STILL rig the cards to dole out the beats when it is convenient for the site. For example, they can give all of the luck right up front when you first create your account and then over time, they can make the ...

Re(2): rigged vs not rigged - discuss
yeah... I could do that or at least hire someone else to do it step 1: straight up analyzing what happens post flop and seeing if it meets expected norms also analyzing distribution of cards (though that doesn't tell us anything as explained in my post) step 2: the code would have to take into account the context surrounding the bad beats, so we'd have to gather as much data as possible regarding that ie: recent deposit history is a big one, if in tourney chip sizes and tourney level, um... other stuff I can't think of now.. it would be hard to get recent deposit history data to synch with ...

you didn't have to be sarcastic about it if you're not pissed off enough / serious enough about playing legitimate poker to read 3 paragraphs that are kind of jumbled then obviously anything you say here will be just as unhelpful to the dicussion that being said it's still a good idea... I will try and fix it at some point it was copy/pasted from a post on another forum though pheisar I think he was talking to me

dude the same shit happened to me, and I kept trying and trying and trying to play tournaments it is sick how many top 20 finishes I have with no significant win I remember a few days days I'd make 4 out of 8 tourneys played in the top 20 or sick shit like that if you look at my stats.... triple those, at least, in fact, quadruple them (i've had a few more accounts than this over the years) it's gotten so bad that I basically quit poker can't take that shit anymore gonna get rich in business instead, f poker I never tortured myself by looking if the guy won the tourney or not ...

Re(1): Why is there a bad beat forum? Why do you lose?
people get berated for suggesting sites are rigged ie it's not "cool" to think it's rigged, and you are deemed a completey donkey and it must be your fault for losing so I wouldn't trust that poll as most people would be afraid to speak up the majority of people who have played cash games for more than 3 years all report this feeling that it just doen'st make sense in addition, I can't tell you how many times I've seen people who were live pros come online and play like a few sessions, and they'll say stuff like this in chat: "oh my god, you guys are idiots, how can you play this rigged ...

Re(7): rigged vs not rigged - discuss
well technicall then, you should be encouraging this type of thinking :) anyway, you definitely have clear thought, and it's clear why you're a winning player best of luck (<-- irony!) I think what all of this boils down too, for me, is that I'm sick of online poker. If it's not rigged, then I can't take the variance. It doesn't suit my personality. I like my decisions in life to have clear outcomes that make sense, not 70/30. And especially not 70/30 rigged to lose against bad players (if that's the case) The point is moot for me now, so I'm moving on.

I appreciate the effort you put in this post, and I appreciate your logic. THANK YOU, someone who is making sense. However I don't appreciate your baseless assumption that I made the article up. You kind of went too far with that, but I'll address it below. Somepeople can't stand losing and need a way to make themselves feelbetter. This kind of riggage banter makes them feel like their losingways are not their fault. All of this pointless commiseration only serves to fill your head upwith negative thoughts that will effect your game adversely. You're right. They do. But I'm not doing ...

ok, you're right... bringin up age was a low blow but I was naive when i was young too I'm going to be unfair and say one more thing and i'm probably not going to check your reply because at this point there's nothing more to say to prove UB is crooked than the following 2 things: "if you wanted to run a site legitimately YOU WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THE EXISTENCE OF SUPER USER ACCOUNTS BECAUSE OF THE SECURITY RISKS INVOLVED the fact that there IS the EXISTENCE of a super user account is enough to question the whole operation" "what administrative purpose does having accounts that can see hole ...

Re(3): Rankings/UB/Cheating
my point is if a site is crooked enough to do this why would they NOT rig the cash games' and anyway, having admin superuser accounts IS rigging they are stealing money how is the word rigged not applicable here' tr.v. rigged, rig·ging, rigs 1. To provide with a harness or equipment; fit out. 2. Nautical a. To equip (a ship) with sails, shrouds, and yards. b. To fit (sails or shrouds, for example) to masts and yards. 3. Informal To dress, clothe, or adorn: The costumer rigged out the actors in peasant clothing. 4. To make or construct in haste or in a makeshift manner: rig up a tent ...

Re(4): rigged vs not rigged - discuss
well to make an sng last a specific amount of time is actually pretty hard to do, you can't predict what players will do throughout the course of an entire sng but coding in setup hands near the end could be possible it's not hard at all 1010 vs qq guarantees all in from both players they could save the 1010 and qq hands for when the blinds are big, so its still satisfying normal distribution of hands.... like I said, they dole out these hands when it is convenient for them, and in the long run, you still get the expected amount of pocket pairs that one is harder to believe though, than the ...

as fun as this has been it's not getting us anywhere.. i just want to know the truth what can I do' - look into the "authorities" that investigate each site's fairness, and how they did it if its true that they didn't look at the code, well then we really can't put much stock in their assurance now can we' - actually fly to the native reserves and see what their office is like... i bet that will be an eye opener - call a lawyer and ask if I could prove its rigged, is there even anything that can be done about it' - can't think of anything else right now this is what we should be ...
