Re(4): Csimmsux-----Simmsux
Agreed. If I ever merit a live interview I hope to sound something like csimmsux. That is, always attributing my success in the tournament to being a huge luckbox, and never really giving out a whole lot of info. Of course, given my level of skill, my success in the tournament _will_ probably be attributable to being a massive lucksack and little else. FWIW I thought csimmsux played pretty damn well when we were at the same table at this event. While I was too busy crying like a little girl to watch any more after I busted out, I can only assume he played well on the FT bubble and at the ...

Re(3): *Official FTOPS Event #17 Final Table Thread*
Don't know why my previous post got deleted, perhaps because I used big boy angry person language. For that I don't apologize, but I'll refrain from using that naughty "f-word" again. I may be bitter about this tournament, but I'll still stand by my claim that "patience" is great only when you can just blind down to nothing over and over again and get it in and double up no matter what. It works for Phil Hellmuth, and it obviously is working for this John Newcombe character. Congrat-u-fu...err, just congratulations.

Re(1): Does 10x/9x on a 10-10-9-9 board include quads? (semantics arguement)
In poker x = airball, imo. However, if you're not beating Tx or 9x in this hand it doesn't matter much that you're not beating quads either. Like I said to Matt, this is probably the most pedantic argument I have ever seen, though that will likely change if I go to law school in the fall.

Re(8): Daut, Octavian_C, Negreanu Final 18 at Bellagio
I was there, sweating Daut, and I'm pretty sure Devilfish did literally grab the cards from the stub, which was still in the dealer's hand. But hey he's been on TV so we can overlook even the most egregious breeches of etiquette (though I agree warnings should be given for first offenses etc.). The funny thing is, his fold here is only the second most jaw-droppingly bad "holy shit I cannot believe this hand played out this way" hand I saw before deciding to go play LHE for the free drinks. BTW GL Daut!

Re(4): GBoro780 Final Table Foxwoods 3k event
UPDATE: 4-handed now. MTC has 510k, which is around average. Old donk who busted Bax in 5th with KQ > AA has chip lead with 800k+. Other two players left are gboro and Chris McCormick (I think that's his name). GOOOOOOOOOOO MTC TAKE IT DOWN.

Pretty sure that Bax is also at this table. But so is Steve "Mr Tim Caum" O'Dwyer, i.e. the most overdue for a big tournament score person on earth. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MTC TAKE IT DOWN. GL MTC and i suppose gl gboro and bax unless that luck interferes with MTC taking this tournament down, in which case gtfo. BAD BEATS CREW WHAT IT DEW

Driving up there a bit later today. Hopefully the bank doesn't grim me and I can get enough to both buy into the tournament and play some live cash. Or, I could try satting in tomorrow (and by "satting in" i may very well mean playing blackjack, watching college football, and binge drinking until i have 10k).

Re(1): Action Jeff Slow Rolled by Crazy Horse Vaswani
Speaking for Jeff, who's sitting next to me at the moment and dictating this post: -What pokernews reported was pretty much completely accurate. -Ram waited about 10 seconds before saying "I guess I have to call" in his goofy accent, instead of instacalling like a non-slowrolling bastard would. -There's no prior history between Jeff and Ram. In fact, this was the first time they had ever met or interacted. Speaking for myself: Zpaceman, I don't know who you are and you may be a great person and all, but you come across as a huge douche in that Venetian story. Getting all pissed off at a guy ...

He was at my table during day 2 of the WSOP ME. He came there with a big stack and did a pretty good job abusing the various clowns at the table. So, yeah, he's pretty damn good at tournaments too.

Re(1): Spot the donkey in Barcelona...
I'm surprised (and flattered) to see my name mentioned in this thread. A lot of the names I would not want to see at my table have already been mentioned (supernova9, Bushman, and FunkiMunki immediately come to mind). Nobody's mentioned Born2DogBaby yet, so I'll say that I don't want him at my table. He's like, good at poker and stuff.

Re(7): At the risk of getting slammed..... my day 1d WSOP
I'm pretty terrible with live reads (as you got to see for 12 hours), so my opinion probably shouldn't carry all that much weight. Like I said at the table, I miss everything unless it's in front of me on an LCD. Hand 1: At the I thought the instafold was a little shocking. What were the stack sizes again' He had been pretty tight, but for some reason I remember thinking that the stack sizes were right for a 4-bet shove, or maybe a call if you were both deep enough. Against a player like that (tight, not particularly aggro) you can call in position and play it fairly profitably. Hand 2: ...

Re(4): At the risk of getting slammed..... my day 1d WSOP
After he showed down the 45ss vs. me, the 88 vs. some other guy, and the 33 vs. another guy, I think not instacalling his shove there with AQ is almost a slowroll. For about 7 hours I thought he was the most straightforward "never-bet-without-a-hand" player on earth, and then for the last 5 i just wanted a hand so I could get it in PF against his giant shoving range.
