Aria Really nice place. They have two daily $120 tournaments with really really good structures for what they are. As far as I can tell the people that are staying there have money and this filters into the poker room as well. Their sportsbook is what's ridiculous about the place, they have two HD 220" LCD displays. Not crappy projection mats, LCD screens. It's the sickest thing ever to watch anything on. Re:Whookid shoves, gboro calls, what do I need here? T3o is close here if you ask me. I ran some pokerstove calcs and it's very marginal but I think you're on the right track because 92o is a snap. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Weird spot in 55 6max with 2 tables left As far as my river bet sizing goes, small bets are just a part of my mtt game in general, weather they're value, cbets or pure bluffs. Here I was trying to get value from the JJ-KK part of his range and I really never saw myself getting check raised here so I wasn't value towning myself too hard when he calls and I'm beat. Results oriented I felt like I should have just checked behind but I'm not sure that should be standard when he checks twice here. I really don't feel like he repped a flush, but could definitely have spazzy trips so I folded. ICM implications were too ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Weird spot in 55 6max with 2 tables left Yeah this is exactly why I decided to post the hand. He's really not repping anything credibly. The play overall seems pretty spazzy but I was still thinking maybe he unknowingly turned AK/AA/99 into a bluff here. ICM-wise this really sucks and if he had more tourneys played with good results or some other reason for me to think he's capable of doing so I'd think he's abusing, but I had no such evidence. Re:Weird spot in 55 6max with 2 tables left Well what I meant is that if I bet turn he has plenty of hand combos that can spazz and put me in a really tough spot plus it inflates the pot more so I feel really committed if he does something like c/c and jams the river and I'll still really have no idea where I'm at as i think most of his range c/c or crai this turn which doesn't clarify much. I meant to stress the pot control reason for checking back, and I think it makes the river easier to play as I can call any non club that he leads, check back or turn my hand into a bluff if a club comes and he checks, or i thought I ... Re:Limping big hands vs short-stacked opponents A quick example is when there's aggro shortstacks that view limps as weak. So if these opponents are folding A8 to our raise, but shipping over our limp and viewing it as weakness, limping with value hands is the best play. I think you have to observe table dynamics correctly but there are plenty of situations in poker where never doing anything is probably bad, but not doing it until the exceptional situation occurs and you recognize it is good. Re:Weird spot in the Mohegan 1k... Event 17 I never really got a response with reasoning behind it. I'm not defending my response, I'm just trying to get the thought process behind why it's a jam here so that I might improve my game. Do we have the correct equity v hands that look us up' Do we get everyone to fold a high enough % of the time' People that are advocating jam please elaborate, thanks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Weird spot in the Mohegan 1k... Event 17 Really' I respect both of your games immensely but I cannot figure out how this isn't spew, maybe you can persuade me otherwise. If a few of the variables are different such as our stack being shorter or their being fewer players in the hand I would say jamming would be a much more appealing option. First of all we have just over a psb left(assuming no antes) and jamming basically says I do not have a flush. So when we're against 4 hand combinations where several of them are crushing us or 50/50 getting 2:1 on our shove I really don't see this being profitable especially when we ... Re:Call JJ here for half your stack? Pretty standard fold to this action with your stack, even though I think he shows up with AK a lot here. You've already amassed a good amount of chips and I think it's important to cherish that stack here and use it to play pots that you're opening or flopping big in. Btw, what's the buyin here' JustinZee's 3bet looks extremely strong with his stack(unless he's a reg) which makes the 4ball jam need to be even stronger. Sticking 100bbs in with JJ to this action is spew I do believe. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Nightly 100k what do you do in this spot? Promoting the worst possible way to play a hand is fun rite' Close your eyes and move the mouse sporadically while rapidly clicking. Statistically it shows better results than flipping a coin as there are 3 options and this way the universe guides the random click to the option that's correct in this specific situation. gg coins. Re:Weird spot in the Mohegan 1k... Event 17 Even in the Dream scenario that you check, OR cbets and it folds back around to you, AA/KK with no club is really the only thing we're in 'good' shape against here. To any other action I say snap fold is probably standard and I look to use that stack for a better reship spot or value hand. You're never crushing anything that's coming along on this flop and frequently you're crushed or someone just has something like QcJx and you're still in brutal shape. Even in this dream scenario I probably find a fold especially if the table is loose and will hopefully double ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
