Re(2): My Statement
Wow, I find Degen's response to be very incriminating. He admits to both bending the rules and tries to justify this letter as an excusable retort. I see nothing that beanie did to be along the lines that you have treaded don. Thing is Degen I use to kind of respect you from 2+2 SNG forum days and found your blog and adventures interesting until lately. From the stripper incident, vegas business and this fiasco you seem to really gone down a dark path or always were a scumbag. I've been a cardrunner member for over a year now and I really think that Taylor and crew should seriously ...

Re(3): Prahlad Friedman tell on Jamie Gold
wrong, prahlad was referring to the k high bluff by Gold. It's obvious that after that hand Prahlad never got his mind or a chips stack allowing him to get back in the game. Why would he hate on his friends for his bustout hand, he got the money in ahead' The info he is referring to however I think is different from being told about a hand where gold previously bluffed with k high with a 750,000 bet. Whatever tell Prahlad's friend gave him diferred from the possibility of Jamie actually bluffing that hand.

Re(3): Prahlad Friedman tell on Jamie Gold
I always took it that his friends gave him info on a tell that differentiated from his read of Jamie holding K high thus swaying him to go away from his read. Who knows with Prahlad though...

Re(3): This is really getting old....another donk prevails
This isn't even a bad beat. The guy has top pair and 9 outs to the nut flush draw 3 outs to 2 pair. Even if you flip your hand straigh up on the flop he should push all in.

Re(1): Valentino Morella slowroll Bax
Ha, I just posted a similar topic. This guy is the prick of the tournament, he has been stalling purposely for 2 days now. Gutshot has followed it pretty closely and he has got into it with pretty much everyone at the table who considers this guy a complete joke of a human being.

Surprised no talk of the slowroll put on Bax before he went out.
Courtesy of gutshot. For those that haven't followed their reports this guy has been purposely stalling every hand since yesterday. He has the clock called on him instantly every time and all the players hate him. Not to mention he's been a complete cock about it. Then he pulls this crap. Cliff 'Johnny Bax' Josephy had pushed all in preflop and Valentino Morella began to take his usual fifteen minutes to decide. Cliff called the clock after only a few seconds, knowing that Valentino would take forever. Valentino Morella... Valentino studied his cards and said,''Since it's you, fine I'll ...

Re(3): On multible accts
Are you kidding me Dumb Walrus' "Baseball players did steroids to cheat records... NOT Money" Boy are you naive... Players used steroids so they could inflat their stats so that they could get the BIG CONTRACTS. It had nothing to do with cheating records. By players using steroids they had a BIG ADVANATAGE over honest ball players competing for contract dollars. The Cheaters won the money, most of them could give a monday morning dump about the records. No different in poker and players using multiple accounts. The poker sites probably are torn on the issue as the increase in buy-ins ...

Re(2): i just dont even get this
Disagree, what makes this so p00r isn't the end laydown (even though he was right) but how he played the hand so poorly from flop to river. Slow play the flop fine, even though I don't think that is wise with someone that plays as wide of hand range as the Grinder because you never know when he hits. He did win a MONSTER pot limping 52 UTG earlier today. But on the flop after the board started straigtening up he should have hammered that turn, but instead he bet a measley 50K. To make it worse on the river he leads a weak 50 again, he needs to make a bigger bet here so that he doesn't get ...

Re(2): Virtual poker house... What do you guys think??
There is a big difference in what the the Hard Rock is doing and what the poster was suggesting. The poster was suggesting setting up a house where you can access online gambling sites and play at the same table. Hard Rock is developing their own table and own software with Random Card Generator. It's not like they would have more games or anyting, they would still set the games and limits and just have the table deal. I'd personally rather play with real cards and real chips if i'm in a B&M Casino even at the cost of less hands per hour. What the poster was suggesting was to charge you ...

Re(1): Virtual poker house... What do you guys think??
uhhh, so not only do players have to pay the online site rake but they have to pay you a half hourly rate as well' No it would not be legal. No this would not work.

Re(4): Steve Dannenmann OUT
yeah whatever hand history OP posted is incorrect: Date / Time:2006-01-30 12:24:00Title:Steve Dannenmann EliminatedLog:After a flop of Q-9-6, Steve Dannenmann moves all in with A-Q and is called by Mike Maler with J-10. Dannenmann is ahead, but a river king completes Maler's straight and sends Dannenmann to the rail. Mike Maler now has well over $300,000 chips.

Re(1): Sit n Go Specialists
It's a good start but in reality your sample size is super small. The turbo SNG's work really well for people that are good at accumulating chips and using big stacks to run over the late game/high blind play. As for time of day obviously 5pm - 2am est is going to be the time to play with 7pm est - 12est being the juiciest of the bunch. If you hit a bad stretch and lose 10-15 buyins don't get discouraged. Even the greatest SNG players I know go through really tough downswings. There is a lot of variance in SNG's.

Re(7): Are Sit and Goes Worthwhile?
SNG's can definitely be profitable and I think they are one of the best ways for starting players to begin growing a bankroll. I grew my bankroll following these guidelines: - Get a good rakeback deal (you will need it) - Make sure that you have 30-50 times the buy in (that would be 300 for 10+1) - Try to get to the point where you are playing 125 a week = 500 a month - Goal of ROI at the 10's - 30's greater than 20% - Get a Dell 21 inch monitor so you can 4 table easily (some 8 table with two 21 inch monitors) - You need to play a good 1000 SNG's before you have a reliable ...

Re(1): Cash Game Continuation Bet Discussion
If you are never continuation betting you are missing out on a TON of money. How are people suppose to pay you off when you only bet when you have it... I probably continuation with nothing 60% or more of the time as the initial raiser 3 handed or less with position if it's checked to me. With a straight or flush draw 60-75% of the time. 3. Strong draws 100% such as a pair with a flush draw on the flop or a straight and flush draw on the flop, flush with overcards etc... Don't be afraid to get your money in on the flop, play these very aggressively. If I'm reraised most times i'm putting ...

Re(1): Going back to Basics, part II
My god man... Move up to the freaking 10's, do you realize how much the rake is killing your income''' Rake on the 5's is 20% on the 10s' is 10%... simple math man... simple math Plus the 10's are just as easy, you really won't get any real competition till you get to 30 or above. Take it from someone that started in the 10 SNG's back in January and now is playing the 100's and 200's. Move to the 10's....
