Live Rebuy Strategy Northern Quest Casino in Spokane is hosting a rebuy game on Sundays, with added bonus for top 2 finishers. Top 2 will be entered into a 2 day event ($40K gauranteed first place; $425 direct buy in) at the end of January, in addition to the regular prize money won. Questions: 1. Most players have played conservative during the rebuy period in the past. Shouldn't you do everything possible to get as many chips on your table as you can' 2. If 1 is correct, is it unethical or against any rules to discuss this with your table mates BEFORE the cards are in the air' Is it smart to discuss ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Too tight? or normal fold? Obv. I guessed wrong, but GJB had been shoving so this looked lke he was trying to suck me into a made hand. He had been isolating with draws and avg. made hands alike. board texture just looked too bad for an over pair here, but cheap games are hard to figure some of these guys out. Too tight? or normal fold? Read: GJB100 has been very active but betting large, at times 2 times the pot or all in. So his flop call looked stronger than normal, as if he was inviting me to raise. Re:The best/most successful athlete you ever played with/against..... Grew up and played with Bret Saberhagen. Lots of stickball on his street. He wasn't much of a pitcher back then, but a very good shortstop. Played against John Elway (baseball). I knew nothing of him, but my dad and our coaches knew he was being scouted at the time. The rumour was that if the Yankee's drafted him he was going to play football. Wiki has a different story - They say that he played two years in the Yankee organization and refused to play for the Colts. Colts gave in and traded him to Denver. Lots of players from our Pony-Colt league were drafted, but none ever made it ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Camera Enforced Traffic Tickets.... We just got these in my tiny little town and I immediately got my ticket. That video shocked the shit out of me. I thought about fighting on the grounds that it wasn't me. I'm sure it wasn't because they also clocked me at 30 MPH; the speed limit is 40 and I always speed. So it must have been the wife. But, like the idiot I am, I let too much time pass. Side note. They tried these here back in the 80's or early 90's. They eventually stopped using them because it was argued that they were violating the right to privacy under the constitution. But, back then they were also ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Ichiro HOF? This is when I quit following baseball. My wife and I went to 20 or 30 games a year before we had a real team (1980's). So excited to watch "the kid", Edgar, A-Rod, and "the big unit". After losing such quality players, we just had to question the integrity of the new ownership, Japanese if I recall, Nintendo was in there somehow. Ichiro is the shit, but this ownership hasn't shown an interest in winning. They do, however put up huge #'s in their hi def Japanese TV audience. I'm not saying that this is the only reason for my lack of interest. I really wish ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Pete MF Rose Waco, You've made some some very relevant posts and I have no arguement. That said, I just cannot believe the Rose ever made managerial decisions that wouldn't benefit the team. I know it's possible, but his Charlie Hustle image has is an image of "win at all cost". I have to believe that when he chose not to bet on his team he truly didn't have the confidence. Obviously, the odds makers could read between the lines but that's not Rose's fault. His on the field skills shouldn't be overshadowed by his managerial decisions or his degenerative nature. My ... This will of course "life tilt" you to the point that you will step into a phone booth, change into your bee costume and start a massive serial killing spree. At least the news will be fun again. Re:How many times a year do you urinate outdoors? Funny, but my bladder is so shy that I cannot pee in public, in a public urinal, in front of my wife of 25 years, off the side of boat after 8 hours on the water (if someone can see), but I love to pee outside. Feels almost theraputic. I have 2.5 acres and pee more out than in, prolly around 2000 - 2500 times a year. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Child Support laws are stupid... This is such BS. If it was the childs money, non-custodial parents could send a % to the landlord, utility companies, etc. There should be a child advocate that recieves and dispenses the $$ as well as auditing the home environment. Lots of scumbags on both sides of these issues; deadbeat dads and $$ hungry whores. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:I don't think I understand the concept of prayer. (Christian prayer, not buddhist prayer/etc) BF, I love your posts and I know you're just trolling but, this is the stupidest thing you've said since I started reading your posts. Nobody is asking you to believe in God or prayer; we all know you're an athiest (and possiible serial killer, lol). There is no masterplan that you can reference. You've been challenged to offer a reference and you made up a stupid conversation. Even if the convo was real, it was still rediculous. AND, God doesn't kill children. Re:What's the Worst Pain You've Ever Experienced? Insta pain - Huge piece of steel, wound by a very large coil came undone and smacked me directly in the nuts. Sent me flying near 5 feet. Delayed pain - Riding a mini bike without a chain guard, my knee was ripped open to the bone and about 5 inches long. immediate shock - didn't even feel it. Once my mind processed what just happened, the extreme pain rushed in. Short term pain - dry socket after a wisdom tooth was pulled. the pain was bad but probably not near as bad as others, but having to deal with it over a long period of time was worse than others. Long term pain - back and neck ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:I don't think I understand the concept of prayer. So much for reading comprehension. God didn't kill the kid. The parents "awsomeness" isn't in question. How to handle adversity is. Besides, the child isn't punished by dying. The parents could be, however. Faithful believers see death and ascending to Heaven as a reward, not a punishment. AND, did you not read the first sentance where I said that I don't believe God would interfere, anyway' Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:I don't think I understand the concept of prayer. Sorry for jumping in this part of the convo, but... Obviously I don't believe that God interferes at all, but if He did it wouldn't be to answer the prayer. Instead, He would evaluate the life lived so far by the person praying, look ahead to possible outcomes and decide whether or not to intervene. The dying child is an obstical in the life of the person praying. Will that person gravitate towards God or run from Him' Will that person work towards ending AIDS for the rest of humanity or will they be self absorbed and do absolutely nothing' Is this really hard to understand' A true ... Re:I don't think I understand the concept of prayer. (Christian prayer, not buddhist prayer/etc) Maybe this so-called Christian doesn't have a strong foundation. There is no plan; it's more likely an experiment. Re:I don't think I understand the concept of prayer. (Christian prayer, not buddhist prayer/etc) I haven't read the entire thread, so maybe you've already answered this question. What is this "master plan" you speak of' God, if you believe in the Bible, gave man "free will". He did not instill a belief in us; He asks that we seek the truth. All of us are on journey to find the truth. God also says that not all will be revealed, that some things will remain a mystery. The prophets give us some insight, but to believe them requires even more faith. Each person makes his own destiny, not God. Some religions speak of God's plan, but that's taken from some ...
