Poker etiquette question... Is blind shoving to protect someone else's hand bad form' I know there will be a lot of "it depends" so, loosely, the situation is: 6 players at the table, one short stack at ~10BB in the CO. MP raises, HJ calls, CO shoves, BB calls, MP calls so does HJ. Before the flop comes out, the BB "blind shoves" for ~30BB. Flop comes out and MP raiser folds, so does HJ. It's now heads up between BB and CO shover. BB hit a set on the flop. HJ gives him crap because he would have turned a boat and proceeds to tell the BB that blind shoving is collusion (even though there was no discussion between BB & ... Posted in: Live Poker |

Re:League intrest anyone? I'd be down again for sure - you did an awesome job and it was fun. I agree with another who said the tourney doesn't have to be a KO. Last time you did like 40.00 for 8 weeks Maybe base the number of spots for points on the number of entrants, like if there's 25 runners maybe do top 5 (like top 20%) with 10 for First, 8 for Second, 6th for Third 4 for Forth and 2 for Fifth' Just a thought. Anyway, looking forward to it! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:$$$ for help you're not at any tables - I just looked for you. You keep saying you try to open FTP from your desk top - maybe try to get in through your actual program files and see if that makes any kind of a difference - maybe the shortcut is corrupt somehow' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Not a bad beat post, I swear... Originally, I was pissed about FTP letting yet another opponent come from a 2:1 deficit to win the hand......but then I wondered if his play was correct. I hate to admit it but I think it is based on his pot odds and his stack size ...just looking for some thoughts and a bit of clarification on how to calculate when I should be making these kinds of calls myself to make this a profitable play over the long run. Thanks. Full Tilt Poker Game #16383053672: $5 + $0.50 Sit & Go (121137637), Table 5 - 60/120 - No Limit Hold'em - 21:10:56 ET - 2009/11/28 Seat 2: jumacerna (3,095) Seat 3: ... Re:Hand question.... I didn't read the other responses but I'm 100% sure this is a split: Q,Q,9,9,A are the hands - seat one's K does not play - UNLESS there is a four-card flush on the board and either of you holds a card of that suit, if you both do then the higher of that suit wins. Re:People over 30 lomfl! I'm 41 and just took up the game in December 2006. It's only the past year and a bit though that I've fully understood that you need tools to succeed - not the least of which is talent/ability which I lack - I've made several deposits and likely will make several more but I still like the game: I find it challenging and I am s-l-o-w-l-y getting better bit by bit. Besides, without the likes of me, whose money would you be winning LOL. I also find that "older" people tend not to pick things up as quickly as younger folks - my daughters, for instance, would ... Re:New to Online Poker Poker sites charge a fee (rake) for playing on their sites. In cash games, they take a little bit from each pot; tournaments will have an entry of $10.00, say, but then there's an extra $1.00 tacked on as their fee for hosting the tourney. Same thing for sit & go's. If you play enough volume, those little bits add up and if you sign up for rakeback, you can get a certain % of your monthly totals back (it may not be monthly but that's the general idea). Re:New to Online Poker Don't forget to sign up for rakeback through P5s - I'm pretty sure it's a bonus for some of our higher volume guys and can be for you too if you're just getting new accounts set up. More than that, though, welcome & gl! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Full tilt crooks, false advertisement and shitty CS Just a thought - the Full Tilt site shows him as the overall miniFTOPS leaderboard leader...but...does that automatically mean he was first n the leaderboard for the miniFTOPS XIV' I'm not trying to being a jerk - I'm just wondering 'cause the FTOPS has leaderboards for each one they've run but the mini only shows one overall leader, and that just so happens to be dcoop4506 (which is an amazing achievement!). Wouldn't FullTilt send some kind of e-mail to the leaderboard challenge winner confirming that they won or something' I mean, I just can't believe that they ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
