Should the 17 year old who came 6th in sundays 5milly special keep the money?
yeah everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when a moderator suggest blatant cheating on a public forum is not as bad playing underage is unsettling. ma'ing is the worst crime an online poker player can commit. even tho the kid shouldn't get paid because he too broke the rules. ma'ing is like a 1st degree felony while underage playing is more of a misdemeanor. moderators are the authority on this forum and they shouldn't be so wreckless pokerstars is a multi billion dollar company, they in fact do have set guidelines and rules like a casino. and like most casino's they have the ...

Should the 17 year old who came 6th in sundays 5milly special keep the money?
if an underage player was playing at a casino and he hit the bad beat jackpot he's going to get paid nothing(with possible chance of being prosecuted)...and if pokerstars wants to be a legit commodity such as a casino they have to enforce the rules...and by allowing the 17 yr old to get paid, they open themselves up to multiple lawsuits ...this is a good lesson for other underage players to learn from, stick to sng's, cash and low-mid stakes multi table tournaments lol

Should the 17 year old who came 6th in sundays 5milly special keep the money?
wtf, y is a moderator saying that it's unfortunate MA'ing is taken more serious than underage' it damn well should be, so u would rather play against a guy with 2 accounts in a tournament opposed to 1 underage...WTF

drinking underage and smoking weed is illegal and they have consequences if caught and those consequences are nowhere near losing 500k, what he did was illegal and not receiving the money is a real consequence. ur examples are very poor...u r trying to be like this white knight on behalf of the kid and instead u come across as a true douchebag

also, if it was his towns newspaper that brought light of this situation, then it pretty funny if they don't get paid because that could of been a nice chunk of tax money to them, i don't know where in the netherlands he lives but yeah a $100,000 might of been nice

winning that money and then not receiving the money would be so devastating...something like that could mess u up psychologically, but it's understandable if they don't pay him

I refuse to believe poker players have ever been worse than they are today.
[QUOTE=RaizeeDaisy;6131706]I have to completely disagree with the poster. Nowadays of course there way more players! So obviously you will run across every type good, bad, indifferent. I guess the best way is just to contrast the "bad" players from both time periods. Back Then: I see bad players as not knowing ANYTHING. Position Odds Value of Hands More often "Gamblers"' Today: I see bad players as not knowing how to apply knowledge. Too Tight Really good players now for the most part have a developed 3-bet gear, I dont think this was true back then. The good players were the ...

Peter Eastgate's return
the op clearly doesn't get it, the bracelets monetary value is less than what he sold it for, and because it was for charity, the person who purchased the bracelet payed a much larger sum than what the bracelets is worth...the most expensive world series bracelets go from 30-40k and he clearly made more from charity sale instead of giving money out of pocket
