HELP SETTLE 100 bet So I know this is old news but my brother and I were having a heated discussion about taxes relative to poker. The argument is that Norway either does or/ does not tax more than 50 percent on poker winnings. I believe they do, if anyone knows the exact tax percentage they take I would appreciate it. Secondly, I believe that annette 15 was backed by bax and sheets for her ME win he does not, we have 50 on each bet. so if you guys could help clear the air and make me 100 bucks richer. I would appreciate it. Have a good Holiday, T Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:bank transfer on ftp.......anyone use recently? IMO it takes longer than a check, but I live in CA, and they send from about 100 miles from where i live. Personally I believe PStars is the fastest, because they immdiately approve transactions while FTP takes 48 usually to process. And ship time is pretty much the same on the both sites. If you dont have money on stars or what have you, you can easily do site swaps. HHs. T Posted in: Poker Discussion |

what is the final take home for the final 9 With patches plastered over all the participants, you begin to wonder what they are each worth simply off sponsorship deals etc, what do you all estimate pre or post taxes will be the total money made not including final table [prize money. I was laughing hysterically when I saw Dennis Phillips dawing a Law Firm ad. I was expecting someone with a shirt that had neon lights scrolling across like "larrys diner" or something. All jokes aside. Endorsment estimations' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:must haves for serious online players Pokerstove is a must must must. It is key is helping you figure out what to do in tough situatuions. Secondly I personally have pokertracker 3 its cool works well and provides any and all info about your game. however I have heard fantastic things about holdem manager, apparently its more streamline and more hud options. So one of the two is required. lastly the thing I have been using allot is a table tracker for the cash games. Pokertracker offers this service for 10 a month where it tracks all cash game stables shows winner losers avg pot etc. for all table in the stakes you search. I have ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

mtt profit expectation for 8-10 MTTs per day 10-75 buy in Hey guys. hope this reaches you running good at the tables, if not hope it turns around. So since I have had my reasonable cash of 3k, Im was running well the first couple days after. But now on a sic downswing. Realy bad beats late IE. FT bubble last 18 people sic shit. I understand variance and bankroll management. So my question is what should i be expecting to "take home" at the end of say a month, six. or a year even playing 8-10 mtts a day 10-75BI. Lately it seems I am unable to organize a solid playing schedule and feel that because I have the money to play for awhile I am ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:lilholdem purposely extending bubble.... thats a sklansky line. He talks about it in either his advanced tourny book or no limit hold em book co authored by ed miller. I think that in online tournaments especially low buy ins it would be massively negative ev to fold the qq due to the chip structure and nature of the bubble. Meaning people play more reckless and make more mistakes online partly due to the lack of money invested, time invested 7 day event and bubbling is alot worse than 4hr session and bubbling. lastly the amount of money on the line is life changing in a major live event when most online tournaments provide some ... Appropriate Hand Sample for skill analysys question Hey guys, I have been raising my cash game volume online as of late. I have been evaluating stats through PT3 to evaluate by watching sessions I played, money won and lost in which positions.etc. However I do not know how accurate my sample is I have about 7k hands in cash, this past few weeks and know that is not much for a real skill evaulation. So what is' how many hands should i have before I really can have strong grasp of my skill for whichever stakes I am playing. And what should be a bb/100 should I be aiming for. 3/100 seems a bit conservative with all the bad money at the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Am I good, lucky, bankroll nitty? advice from all welcome... Hey man, So you and I are in the same boat we have both had the same problems of cashing out too high of a percentage and leaving my bankroll in greater jeopardy. And depending on what your financial situation is leaving as much in your bankroll is key. See I am a 24 year old college student from california, and I make most of my money playing live as it is better money, bigger fish and smaller fields. And cash games are way softer. Anyway, online I always tried to start a bankroll so I would grind small stakes learning the ins and outs so I could apply that experience to my live play. So ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Tough spot final table of 32k guaranteed 4left 25k/50k blinds I have 66 on the button, with non egostistical judgment I felt I was the best player left at the table. and the only person I had any concern was on my left. he and I were the chip leaders with my stack at 1.6million and his just over 800k the other stack. the other stacks left to right were 700k and 500k. utg limps which he had been doing alot and playing it really passive folded to raises preflop and check folded the majority of the flops. the cutoff limps behind which was rare for him as he had hardly if ever did that. so I look at 66 on the button and decide to limp in ... BIG SCORE... WELL KIND OF. Where to go from here would like adivce, ideas and or suggestions from the worlds best. P5ers Whats up Guys, so its been a relatively good week for me, got a puppy and finally hit a nice score on full tilt. took 4th in the 32k guaranteed ffor just over 3k. Now I have had nice scores on stars and a couple on tilt before but have always had to cash it out due to school expenses. But not I am a little more financially stable and really would love some insight in how to maintain and ultimately increase a bankroll of 3k BR. I have heard alot of advice from articles and what not but would really like to know what the actual players think. So i suppose my general question is what limits can ...
