Groomsmen/ Best man gift ideas
leatherman tactical got one of these when a cousin got married last year. siiiccccccccccck. you dont need to get a tactical model if you dont shoot or own rifles as its more geared towards the shooters. regular leathermans go for ~50 and are still pretty fun to own. check out the swiss army knives as well. i mean every man could use a multi tool/vitamin.

Dinner suggestions
my sink doesnt even have a hose, so its a pain in the ass to wash dishes. to top if off my sink doesnt have an erator either so i have to be super nitty about cleaning off plates n what not. i live in a pretty new studio in SF as well.

you should start that steak off as one big piece and cut after its cooked. chicken sounds better over all and if i remember correctly you dont hafta pre blanch the soba if you wanna crisp it up, just straight into the fryer.

Thinking about opening up a restaurant sometime after graduation
scattered quickies: your menu sounds like shit on a plate. where does pbj and b fit in, on the what im infering is an american grill based menu' good luck executing that with out a chef in the kitchen. that menu is way to spread out for a couple of line cooks to do everything themselves. college kids dont spend $ on food. they have better things to spend money on like alcohol, drugs, and books. i dont know why people always gear products towards college kids with no or very little fixed income.

Knowing what you know now, what college major would you choose?
kinda opposite of how i got into cooking. b.s. in comp. engineering which allowed me to work for the best graphics company in the world right after college. got tired of staring into the matrix everyday and decided to take cooking as a hobby and run with it. 3 years into this cooking profession, currently holding down a sous chef position, and im still making only 80% of what my entry level position after college. money wise, cooking sucks unless you're calling all the shots as the head chef, but most of the people ive met in this industry remind me alot of the people in the poker community ...

Do you tip the takeout person?
chefs and cooks in california dont get tipped out as its against the law. tips that go to your waiters usually get divided between the staff as a whole or pieced out individually with the bussers getting their 3-5% cut. its not uncommon to have the waiters making more money than the cooks, but you dont see cooks complaining as they know what work they put in now will come back ten fold when they are one day chefs in their own right. i hate the talk about tipping as it should be a gesture of kindness, not an absolute. if waiters dont like minimum wage, they should find another job. fuck mando ...

Any body ever buy beer & have some taste awful out of it?
I cant stand hoppy beers. I like crisp and refreshing flavor profiles when i drink. I dont mind asian waters, esp if im munching on something spicy as it helps that i can chug and eat at the same time. Stone is okay, i like what they are doing, just not the way they taste. Go morimoto if anything. Sour lambics are my ideal. "Goose foundation," rodenbach grand cru, and sour monks can be found at your local bevmo. Thank me and your pallete later. Macrobrews: guinness, newcastle, heineken, abita's purple haze, sammys cherry wheat, pacifico, ob,; all get a nod from me

Who Disc Golfs?
Salary wise i dont know how he eeks a living. He lives a more down to earth lifestyle than most fwiw. He gets all the plastic he could hope to ever throw, he sells the residual on the course before he plays. Free transpo and tourney buyins all throughout california with cash bonuses for placing. Im at the sf dgcourse right now and will update with pics when i get back.

Who Disc Golfs?
Been disc golfing religiously for about a year now. I currently live 3miles from the golden gate park disc golf course so i try to make it out there weekly. Good fucking times. I only throw discraft as i have a buddy who is sponsored by them and for some strange reason i believe i have a shot with that company. I should know better though as i suck.

Feds order Cali medical marijuana dispensaries to close
