Merge MTT Players Must Read
+1 - kteller8 I can tell you factually that 90% of pro's for skins on the Merge Networks have affiliate accounts, actively recruit players and receive rakeback off of those registered underneath them. If you think this is not happening on every room on the internet, your naive. I can promise you it happens in home games, home tournaments and even CASINO'S! I have been around the game and more so the business within the game for many years. I will put this out there and you tell me if I am right or wrong - The real suckers in the game of poker are the players! I have listened to players ...

Merge MTT Players Must Read
I don't have any thoughts other than; "better them than me"! I am not involved with staking anymore and barely involved in poker. There are many other "+EV" spots/opportunities in life, poker is not high on my list these days. I play only a handful of MTT's these days, I use that time mainly for relaxation and entertainment rather than a primary source of income.

I am unclear on your point KA_Spirit. I am not an Affiliate of Feltstars. I signed up under an Affiliate as a "Sub-Affiliate" and have many "Sub-Affiliates" under me. Are you saying anyone who refers players to the sites cant play on the site they refer players to' After reading the entire thread here and the 2+2 thread, it appears there are only 5-10 players in the entire online community that have an issue with the way backed players are being funded in some cases. The Hero Poker CEO confirmed the tickets being issued (if in fact that's how players are buying in on their individual ...

Merge MTT Players Must Read
Would you mind elaborating on what's shady' The whole concept of backing in general or an affiliate backing' I approached every one of my horses, some of which are named in this thread. I ran a leveled stable meaning as your ROI and earnings increased, you moved up to higher levels. Rest assured, they ALL had make-up deals! I allowed each horse to keep their RB as their own, after all they were logging the monitor time and I felt it was fair. If the tickets were available to me back then I would have preferred that method over cash as I am certain any backer would. I can honestly ...

My "Site Pro" deal had ended with Feltstars prior to me backing any players, I could no longer travel or devote the time needed to play online. I am struggling to understand why site pro's or affiliates shouldn't be allowed to back players on the same skin' I believe Erik Lindgren was very public about his involvement with MTT backing, there are many others (Cole South) and more... So, whats the difference between backing online and backing live' Are we saying that if I back you in the Main Event, I shouldn't play myself b/c its a conflict of interest' This happens daily at every tournament ...

I dont believe I said the skin was running the horses I used to manage. "I have no clue who manages the horses today, how they choose to fund their accounts or what types of deals they now have. If they are funded with coupons, then someone looked at the benefits the same way I did."

Disclaimers: 1. I am an affiliate of Feltstars. 2. I have 2 accounts on Feltstars (my player account - 10bigblinds & my affiliate account ptphorses which has never been used for play). 3. I have received tickets for MTT entries. 4. I was a 100% sponsored site pro 5. I have ALWAYS been paid. I "FELT" I needed to throw some information in on this thread. I ran a stable of horses on Feltstars about two years ago, at one point I had over 30 active horses playing at all levels. I had a admin disbursing funds to horses when I was not available (3 kids take up time); although the admin logged into ...

Re:sick hand from live 2/5 NL
I am never just calling the TURN here. What is the purpose of just CALLING' I CHECK behind on TURN for pot control and call any reasonable RIVER. When he check raisies I feel it is an AUTOFOLD IMO! I play a POT CONTROL game and allowing myself to be check raised out of a pot on the turn is a nightmare. You have a decent hand with 2PR... Check behind on TURN and CALL River!

Re:Congrats to LockdownTex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DMAC....Sick call with the QQ I made against u....next time make river a value bet and u might get a donk like me to fold. 5K was too much....the line never made sense. Check raise on the flop and then continuation with "AIR"....on turn....just looked like a hyper aggressive on-line play. I am a LIVE player....u online guys have a different mentality...not saying there is anything wrong with that....just adjust a bit when u play live. Remember, we make our living live much like you do online.
