Re(7): When do you risk your tournament life?
100% agree about having no fear...and thanks for the added explanation there using the 88 example. That's exactly what I was looking for. So in that situation, how do you play it' Meaning said "playing slower."

Re(2): When do you risk your tournament life?
Well, d'uh. I would never do that... Interesting comments so far. However, I think what I'm curious about is the idea of say you are running over a table and faced with a situation where if you call you know you are 55/45 ahead. However, if you lose you are then the short stack. In that case, since you know you are playing better than most of the table and have it fully in control...why would you risk your entire stack when you could probably steal pots, etc. and put yourself in a better spot' I know that's really general, but I think that is where the "Phil Hellmuth argument" comes from...

Re(2): Curious....Members who still Play UB/Members who Left UB
Only time I play on UB is when they send that free $10...then I go in, use the $10 and leave. Personally, I'm not a fan and with the scandals, etc., I'm really surprised at how many people still play there. Trust in a site is #1 on my list. This is why I play on PS. Gl all and God bless :-)

Re(2): When do you risk your tournament life?
See, but I think this post is using the "risk your tournament life" in a broader way than just getting knocked out. It looked like this could also be a discussion on controlling the pot via bet sizes, etc. Thus giving yourself a better chance of winning without the huge risk factor of putting yourself all in...

Re(1): PS VS FTP which site do you get paid better?
Being that I only play SNGs and MTTs that are $11 or under, I am 100% a PS player. I tried FT for awhile, but there just aren't enough MTTs for me...or at least there wasn't. Have things changed'

Re(1): *SNG Question/Humor/Bad Play
1) Yes, as we all know, a lot of the time people are going to miss the flop and therefore fold when faced with an all in bet to them. 2) Well, as I've seen myself, a lot of times people are doing the move you did with "air" or at best a smaller pair (8s, etc.). Either way he probably thought he was good or still had 2 outs and gambled due to it being a turbo. 3) Personally I don't think it's that bad of a call, but, at the same time, I don't want to be calling myself out of a tournament either. I could see the argument either way. Gl and God bless :-)

On PS - Easiest way to win a WSOP ME seat?
Your opinions, please. I would love to play in the Main Event this year...just for the life experience. So with that being said, what are the easiest ways to getting a seat to the Main Event via Pokerstars. I mean cheapest and softest play, etc. Thanks to all serious replies.

Thanks, Grapsfan....funny quote in article.
Best quote I've read in a while...relating to poker: "and get ready to win the next battle against the never-ending hoard of flush-chasing heathens and gut-shooting huns. They make take our lives, but they’ll never take…our chips!" Thanks for the laugh...needed it. Gl all and God bless :-) "I'm not that fond of Political Jokes. Re(4): MTT Question: Where we get knocked out/How to improve
No no, actually what you said is exactly what I have been thinking lately. I can have a huge chip lead going into the Middle stages of a tournament, "go card dead" ("" because I think a lot of that is in my head), and then start loosing that chip lead because of my lack of selective aggression. Good points Drk. And anytime you want to talk poker on here...don't hesitate to PM me.

Re(2): MTT Question: Where we get knocked out/How to improve
Thanks for the reply. Actually, I used to be a TIGHT player...ridiculously. Now I'm more of a position player/feel player AKA puts me in the more LAG-ish area. At the beginning of a MTT I usually will limp/mini-raise a lot of hands to see a lot of flops which usually gives me an above average stack before the first break. Then, right around the middle of the tournament I seem to tighten up a bit because it seems my play from before gets re-raised a lot and I don't want to call. I'm thinking it's my tightening up in the middle stages of the tournaments that is killing me. Around the bubble, I ...

MTT Question: Where we get knocked out/How to improve
I was looking over my MTT tournament records and breaking it down, this is where I finish in tournaments played (understand that I play anything $12 and below): Early = 10% Early Middle = 20% Middle = 40% Middle Late = 20% Late = 10% As you can see, I am finishing most tournaments in the middle stages of the tournament, meaning that I am besting about half of the field. So far for 2008, I have cashed in 10 of of 112 tournaments (a little under 10%). In the last 120 days I have cashed 16/148 (around 11%). So, the question: Looking at the information above, what would you suggest I do to ...

Re(3): Let's Talk About Combatting LAGs Who Have Position On You.
I agree, but you also have to figure out what type of LAG player you are playing against. Is it a good LAG player who is putting you on hands or a LAG player who because he hits anything on the flop thinks that they must be good' There is a big difference there and sometimes very tough to decifer when you are playing at a table that has more than one LAG player. Of course, a lot of this can be decifered from their bet sizes, etc. And then again, it may not because a lot of good "LAG" players are great at mixing it up to look like they are always LAG when really they are setting up the table ...

Re(2): An Arguement About Shoving A Monster Draw
I agree with everything you said EXCEPT the "if I miss and he goes all in, I will call." If this guy is such a fish, your plan of attack is voided by you calling an all in bet on the turn if you miss. In that regard I would fold because, since he is "that bad" you should be able to find a spot where you are ahead OR chip him down slowly since he will "call with anything." Now, if it's a small bet on the turn, of course I call. But your plan of attack is having him call you, not the other way around. I hope that made sense... Gl and God bless :-)

Re(4): What site do you run the worst on?
100% FullTilt. Wow...I just don't know, but I just spew on that site...so, I only play on PokerStars (where I spew less...lol). Of course, I still wear the FullTilt black zip up fleece they gave me because it's the most comfortable thing EVER...but that's about it. Plus I mostly only play smaller buyin MTTs and Pokerstars has a much better selection of those by far...unless that has changed in the recent months.

Re(1): How many of you could make this fold?
Unless they have been playing back at people a lot on this table, I would say that one of them has either QQ or AA or atleast played it as such. Personally, I think it's a good fold, if it's based on a read. Other than that, it's a tough decision if you just sat down at the table and a lot tougher than some of these guys are giving you credit for. After all this isn't a $2-$11 micro-fest. It's a $55 buyin.

Re(3): What to do here? QQ spot deep in mtt 24 left
Well, considering it's a $2 tournament, I would call. I hate to be that weird about it, but at this level, I see too often they have a lower pair at best AK so therefore you would be getting your money in good with a great chance to really go for 1st. The few times it's been AA or KK or so few at this buyin level of tournament that I think it's almost a 95% call, unless you know the second re-raise all in only does that if he has AA or KK. At a higher buy-in...it's a tougher situation, I think.
