Re:Official Cake Poker Feedback Thread
Lee....You seem to have overlooked this question. I am still wondering why there is no valid information for your RNG. Technical Systems Testing won't even vouch that your organization exists, nevermind vouch for the RNG. Still would like an answer to an independent 3rd party audit done on your RNG. See here is the thing I really don't get...You won't allow Poker Tracker, Hold'em Manager, Etc...on your site. From what I understand, it is "out of protection" for your users. However, if you were to allow a tracking software on your site there is no doubt it would ...

Re:cake poker support sucks
Yea they are quick at responding....but outside of answering very general questions that are easy to answer, anything complex, and they are the most unreliable support service on the net! I would rather have slow and reliable, then quick and incompetent.

Re:Cake Poker - Software quits itself problem?
I had a LOT of problems with Cake software but after a series of doing a bunch of things, so far, I haven't had a crash today which is highly unusual. First contact Cake support and tell them what is going on. They are awesome about getting back to you in a very short amount of time. Whenever you are having problems you should always turn to support first prior to forums. I am posting this because I know a lot of people have had problems so I will let you all know what they had me do. I am not going to go into a step by step with you on any of this and if you don't know how to do, ...

Re:Help understanding graphs and ROI's please...
I was just reading an old article in Card Player that was talking about ROI's for SnG's. It mentioned: "Games below $100: 7% ROI would be considered good. ROI of 10% or more would be considered great. A player's ROI decreases as he increases the stakes. For example, a very good player may be able to sustain a 15% ROI at the $10 level, but almost certainly couldn't come close to that long term at the $100 level or above. At higher stakes, an ROI of 5% would be considered good and 7% or more would be outstanding. ...a minimum of 200 tournaments is necessary before ...

Is there such a thing as an overlay in rebuy?
Is there a way to figure out if a Guaranteed Rebuy MTT is a good deal in terms of an overlay' I am not sure if you can use the term overlay in this context, but I wanted to know if there is anything I should look for along these lines in a rebuy.

Re:Official Cake Poker Feedback Thread
Lee, If you all don't allow PokerTracker, Holdem Manager, etc... on your site; and don't have an independent 3rd party audit done on your random number generator, how do people know it's legit' Technical Systems Testing who has done the certification on your RNG has nothing posted on their site about certifications on RNG's or anything about the sites they have certified, and they will not confirm or deny any information about Cake Poker via contacting them. I have always suspected this is the main reason Cake doesn't want programs like PokerTracker running on the site. ...

Totally disagree. I want to hear player actions, meaning chips in the pot. I don't want "just" the bell when it's my turn to act. I want the rest of the noise action, but the clapping drives me nuts!

Re:Why Rakeback Companies should be done with!
Like I stated in my OP, I understood the value in it at one time, but that definitely isn't the case anymore. With mass marketing on TV for FT, Star, UB, whatever, affiliates are not driving the mass heards anymore. I don't see the positive EV for sites in "todays" market. Nor do I see it for us as players. "If you're stuck without rakeback on one site, there are plenty of opportunities to move your action and play with rakeback elsewhere." What about players that are unable to get rakeback on a popular site they want to play but can't because they ...

Re:Why Rakeback Companies should be done with!
I think you are missing the point. Adam, although I do understand your position because obviously you folks are making money off it, nor do I doubt the level of service you all give to your customers. I think you guys probably do a great job! However, I also think there should be some due diligence done in the industry to see what it would do for a site like Fulltilt to do away with rakeback and cut their rake across the board. It would have a severe impact on the industry as a whole, not to mention that "my" money would stay in my pocket instead of being first shuffled off to a ...

Why Rakeback Companies should be done with!
To be honest, I am so tired of rakeback companies all together!!! I think it is one of the biggest scams going in the poker industry. I am tired of hearing things like, "you can't get rakeback because you already have an account..." or "you can't change your rakeback company once you signed up with one..." As a person who feels like I just got totally ripped off by my rakeback company **company name deleted** and Ultimate Bet, I am even further pissed off being told that I can't change my rake back company because I am already signed on with them. So for the ...

OK Lee....Fair is fair. You are hear, you are listening, and obviously I was wrong. I read your post about redesigning the software from the ground up. I think that is awesome and that is the kind of news I am waiting to here. You mentioned you could not say when it would be in our hands. I also understand how that goes and you don't want to release any information premature. Can you give a really bad, worst case scenario ETA. Meaning is it something to look forward to this year, next year, or you can't even say that much' I am really looking forward to what you all come up with and I ...

"but I'll pop in once in a while to make sure you all know that we're paying attention." So kind of what I thought, this is just a sounding board, not really a two way conversation. No real..."yes, this is what we are working on...; or in our next version of software that will be released (with ETA) we are working on...; or I like these specific ideas and will see what we can do to implement them; or here is the direction Cake is going and I think you will be excited; etc..." Re:Official Cake Poker Feedback Thread
Hi Lee....I put this up in another thread, but I will post it here incase you haven't seen it. First off, my biggest question to you is why do your customer service reps state "This issue seems to be affecting only a small proportion of our players given the fact that less than 30 have reported this happening including yourself. However, we are currently investigating this in detail and working to provide a resolution to this in a future software update." When it comes to software technical problems. This is clearly a false statement with the amount of threads posted all over ...

Cake Poker....feedback from players
I am starting a list of things that I think would make life easier as a Cake player and things I think will help Cake in the long run. Please feel free to add anything you would like to see changed at Cake or wish to communicate to them. Maybe they will listen, maybe they won't but I think these are all things that are legit. I definitely don't want to turn this into a Cake hate thing. Only productive stuff please. * Get technical issues straightened out. This has to be first an far most. In the last couple of days I can't tell you how many times I have heard players on the table ...

Help understanding graphs and ROI's please...
Can someone help me to understand this graph: I really don't get what this represents. Does this mean they higher a buyin the higher my ROI has been' Is it typically a straight line like this' Anything you can explain to help me understand this graph I would greatly appreciate it. Could you also help me to understand target goals for ROI's' I am currently grinding $12 6 man turbos, and $10 Ten man double ups. I usually run six tables at a time. 2 of the $12 6 man turbos, and 4 $10 double ups at one time. I am finding the double up tables are stupid easy on Cake, and I just ...

Re:Cake management or Card room manager??
Thanks Adam! I encourage all those others to please post if you have issues with instability with the software as well. It would be nice if we can get 30 people alone to speak up just from PK5's so they can't use this on people anymore and maybe start working jointly with us to get it fixed. I would be willing to donate my time to work with them on getting this fixed.

Cake management or Card room manager??
Does the card room manager or other management surf PK5's like other sites do, and more importantly, communicate with this community in any way' I really think there is a serious issue with software stability with this site. While using their site, the software crashes on me about once an hour or two. I have sent them numerous emails about this issue, each time they respond back with this laundry list of things they want me to do for them. I have provided them all the information and still nothing fixed. Then some time goes by and I recontact them, and they talk to me with the same ...

If you haven't signed the PPA petition yet
If you haven't signed the PPA petition yet but plan too....Cake poker has a PPA freeroll if you sign it through them that I think is a good deal! It runs every Saturday for the next 3 Saturdays and you can register for one freeroll. This afternoon the field was 260 players and first place pays about 400 with 60 places paying and 60 gets you $18 dollars. The field is extremely soft. I "think" the prize pool is about $3500 but I am not sure exactly since i don't remember. Log onto Cake and check their announcements. It will provide a link on how to sign the petition through ...

Re:Bodog, Cake, or UB??
You guys weren't kidding about how ridiculously easy Bodog is. I am finding that the cash games will have a mix of good and horrible players. The SnG's are ridiculously easy, and in fact, I find it easy to grind those than cash games. I played one MTT so far and won it outright (Net $340). I didn't make any special moves and played very tight aggressive ABC poker the whole way. The one thing I had to learn is "DON'T BLUFF ON THIS SITE!" It took me a little while to learn this but people will call you for all their chips with any top pair and even middle pair no ...
