Re:Balancing Poker and your Job
Don't become a "lost boy." Poker can be more fun when it is not your living. It can be a diversion from the stress of work. You can supplement your income. Just realize when you're younger it is easier to have higher risk strategies which pay off in poker. As you get older risk aversion is inevitable. Your ability to generate the money made earlier becomes more difficult.

Re(1): limping AA preflop
Preconditions for limping with AA: 1) Short stack, where you're going all in regardless of play behind you and flop. 2) You have to have limped recently and been pushed off pot, and definately not showing monster with limp. Less frequentely, with average stack: Need early position, short stacks in front, very aggressive play, you're limped recently. Intention here of course is limp raise. You can only do this once and people will definately remember.

Re(1): Anyone had any experience with lucid dreaming?
Before sleeping, concentrate on looking at the palm of your hand. Being able to look at your palm while dreaming then gives sense of self awareness, but not sufficient to wake up.

I'll say "sorry" after a hand. But it is meant as empathy. Think I'll change to "ifyp"---I feel your pain. ;)

Shana Hiatt's Holiday Bird
Take a look at the WPT video game add in all the poker magazines. Notice Shana's placement of her index finger holding the cards' Clearly flipping the bird. If you think this is an accident, try holding the cards this way and you'll see how unnatural it is. She really must be pissed.

Re(1): Laid down KK preflop to David Pham..
Hmm. KK preflop; against very aggressive player; making lots of aggressive noise/acting strong; against a nonpro and someone who may be a little awed. His cvomments later xould have been to sooth you--he was acting nice all night. Hmm.

Re(5): So am I a donkey?
I'd relook at at servitup's final comment. If you go all-in he is only going to call if he has a real hand. You're putting him on a steal. Why not reraise to 48K' If he calls, you know exactly where you stand. Point being, you don't need to go all-in to ferret out a bluff or weak hand, especially at this point in the tourney when everyone is eyeing the final table.
