Thoughts on omaha hi hand
Yeah, those guys who will bluff with the over bet exist at low level PLO. Definitely a fun game so keep playing and working on your game.

Is this game beatable? (Live PLO)
Sounds beatable by a good enough player. Juicy even. But also high variance. So find a backer maybe'

Thoughts on omaha hi hand
Agree with the prior posters; fold this pre. As played fold flop. By the river, this is an easy fold as your not getting good enough odds to call here (and probably not on the turn either). As noted above, bottom set us just an invitation to lose money in Omaha. I suspect he made a straight on the river or has a better set. BTW - Your HH says you have the Ac and it's on the flop.

Consolidated Fold AA/KK Preflop Thread
Easy call. 20K is useful, but 8 plus million is life changing. How many times will you have a real shot at winning so much'

Small Pairs OOP, Best Play?
I'd fold this pre b/c it's really only good for a set mine and you're not likely to get paid off against just one player to make the set mine worth it. Early in a tourney I'm not going to defend my blind with small pairs against one person. I just don't think the upside is there.

Full Tilt Poker Funds Partially Unfrozen
I remain optimistic that we will get our money eventually. But, If I was a new player who had the choice to play mostly on FT or PS, I think it's clear that I'd feel better having my money on PS since they are keeping player funds in segregated accounts.

New UB cheating/scandal discovered
Not quite correct. Greg Raymer has explained this before in connection with the Dutch Boyd poker site failure and it's worth repeating here. Player funds are held in trust for the player. The site is not a bank and does not have the legal right to use the money as it sees fit while it merely holds the money in trust for the player. If Annie got a loan from player funds it would be a serious breach of the trust. However, once the money is "paid" to the site via rake or tourney fees the site can do with it as they please obviously.

8 R turbo final table on Stars AK with 2 all in in front
I doubt I fold here, but I'm not strong enough with ICM to know the proper answer to your question. If you win the hand you're in great shape to win the whole thing which is why I probably don't fold in this spot. Also, isn't this tourney a 2x turbo' Probably not going to get too many strong hands going forward in that structure.

On the other hand, if you wait until the bill passes before you cash out you'll likely benefit from the now legal processors that will pop up. I'm waiting and will deal with it if it arises.

"Harry Reid: Online poker legalization falls off agenda"
It may be off the agenda, but that doesn't mean it won't happen for sure. Recall that the draft versions of the UIGEA were going nowhere until Bill Frist attached the legislation to the must pass Port Security Bill at the last minute. Reid is in position to do similar no matter what he says in public.

Backing and Staking Discussion
Apply the principles of partnership law. In the absence of an agreement on how to split profits each state has statutes on the books on how the profits are to be split amongst partners. Willing to bet almost all states are 50/50. Have your buddy Google it.

Deep in $5 turbo on stars...
I'd shove here. Yeah, there will be times when someone wakes up with a big pair and you'll be drawing thin, but you're about to lose over a sixth of your chips via the blinds and I would not wait. Several of these stacks have to fold to your shove unless they have a big pocket pair or AK/AQ. Hope to get called by one of the bigger stacks with Ax and hold on.
