Any Costa Rica travel tips? Hey me and a few buddies are going down to Aruba for the tourney and then heading over to Costa Rica for about a month. Re(2): utg limps from 4x raisers I disagree with a call here. If the guy is a standard player that 4x's often i dont think he will be shoving anything worse than JJ. Considering how little you have invested and your best case scenario here is a coinflip IMO i think folding is your best line. Re(1): two hands In the first hand i think i fold unless i have a read on the villain that he is a huge donk that will shove here with a small pair or a weak ace. His bet screams AK but i dunno if i want to race here this early. Maybe a call here isn't terrible though. On the second hand if you decide to go with it i think it is best you come back over the top and let him go broke with A6 or a straight draw, your hand isn't strong enough to let him see a free card imo. Unless you have a sick read on the player you should call this all day long. Of course he could have AA or KK but after you make the reraise i am pretty certain folding is definetely -EV longterm. Tough spot with 2 tables left. (FTP $20 rebuy) So there is 10 left in the $20 rebuy on FTP. I had just lost a 130K pot where i flopped a smaller flush than my opponent. Im now sitting 9 out of 10 when this hand comes up. What is your play' The villain had been decently aggressive on the button up tp this point. My thinking was that the overbet(4.5X) raise preflop meant a pretty good hand but not one looking for action. 6 8 suited is also the best type of hand i like to make this play with because it isnt completely and utterly crushed by big pairs as opposed to a9/kj type hands. Also my opponent had a ton of fold equity after her raise. My question is though do you guys think it is worth jeopardizing(sp') a pretty good stack to try and pick up this pot which i think i will a big % of the time' Posted in: Poker Discussion |
