Re:Open Question to all highly successful MTT players. Its not to abstract to think about the tournament as a changing graph that dictates your aggression based on chipstacks (i.e. lower the avg, the more agro one must become in general). Now whether you play tight in the beginning or lose depends on tourny strucutre. I dont think its necessary to play agro in fr tournies <500 in the beg. However I play like a nut in big ones to get that big stack for later. In terms of planning out ur hands I guess u should just set your limits for how far you will bluff if u miss, once the flop comes (and consequently once u know who u r facing). I think ... Re:need help purchasing a new book This UCLA anthropologist Carlos Castaneda won a Nobel prize for his works about the use of psychedelic drugs in Yaqui Indian Culture. Not only is this book trippy and fun to read but it also contains some legit wisdom about the universe...One of my all time favorite books. Some consider what he wrote to be fake (i.e. turning into a dog on peyote) but he swears that its the truth. IMO this is a must read. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Final Table win rate I agree that 50% of the time you should top 3 (good player). However, I'd say that if you get top 3 then you should win the tourny ~50% of the time...therefore you should be winning the tourny 25% you final table. If you're not making these numbers, then you need to find out where to play more aggressively, i.e. the bubble...final table bubble etc... Keep in mind you cant always go agro at the final table tho. However, I look for every excuse to boss the table. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WTF TO DO WITH RIVER SHOVE IN FTOPS 1K With your check on turn hes thinking that you might be drawing as well, meaning he might interpret your river bet as a bluff- hence the shove. Call. also, imo you need to fire on turn. hes checked 2x and there are two flush draws out there...hes just asking for a free card... the equity that you gain for adding transparency by checking (unless he c/r bluffs the river like a donk lol) is less than what you lose when he flushes and gives you an all expenses paid trip to value town. Re:would u call this river bet with top two? Ill snap call this (w/o previous history/metagame) and heres why: a). random vlillain in 65k is capable of bluffing a large % of time in this spot...with something like AQ(unlikely but possible), KQ, or even nothing. your check obv looks weak and thus an aggressive player will exploit this. b).you dont want to be sitting on 1640 in this tourny after a fold. say u win and double up to 5700, now you can start bossing etc etc. p.s. fk this tourny I never run good in it.
