The funny thing is, there are probably people sitting around a table in sport coats complimenting each other on their great decision to promote the WCOOP as they say....which will, ummmmm, let me think.... lose money for poker stars lose money for their most loyal customers transfer a portion of their player volume in medium to high buy-in tourneys to their competitors such as Full Tilt. PISS OFF 80%+ of their clientele....GREAT BUSINESS MODEL!!! Re(2): The__D___RY....sick read, now CL I decided to call his raise pre this time with this hand because i had just gotten to the table one round ago, and i raised the cutoff and was reraised by him on button....Now i get A9s, raise cutoff and am re raised by him again. So i see the flop, hit an ace and he bets which he would do with ANY hand at this point because an ace flopped...(resteal hand, or actual hand). so i call, and on turn he bets again, but i just got a weird feeling he was trying to mess with me, idk...It�s definitely not a normal call for me in this spot, but I just went with my feeling.... Stars adds Higher Buy-in 18 person SNGS Not sure if many people know about them yet, but i just saw today that Stars has added $300 and $500 18 person sngs...would be nice if they added 1k and 2k�s, but just letting you know....maybe we can get these running often...they seem more fun than 9 man sngs.... I was asked recently to make videos for a site with very heavy traffic, and I won't get into the details of the offer/site, but it seems to be pretty damn good as far as that end of the deal goes. However, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worried about how it would affect my play at the tables that I am VERY hesistant to do it. I really fear that the moves/plays that make my game unique and profitable would not work nearly as well after the videos would be released. Re(3): What the F Mulligan Tourney I don't see how Brundaddy's call was so bad, especially since it appears he put you on a draw. If Brundaddy folds he has 3,275, if he calls and wins he has 8,870...and he was slightly less than 50% to win, so the #'s seem to be right to call assuming the read is right. Keep in mind, when in a multi, top 3 is usually something nice, but who wants to play for 5 hours and get 8th or 16th or something...aka making risky calls to stack yourself is sometimes necessary to really go deeeeep, especially while 5 tabling, etc...Bottom line, vs your whole range, sure maybe 88 is beat badly there, BUT ... Re(3): Late Reg on Full Tilt?! If they added late registration during the 1st level the prize pools would probably be 10-20% bigger which would be sickkkkkkkkkkk good for us in general...Everyone knows how quickly the prize pools jump in the last couple of minutes of registration...imagine 10 extra minutes of that madness. Not to mention just the convenience factor for people, if the table opens up and you say to your buddy, "you sign up for the Tilt $55k yet'" and he/she actually still can. Poker Stars adds $1,050 SUPER TUES MTT!!!!!!!!!!!! Poker stars finally added a weekly $1,050 buy in like that on Full Tilt! This is sweet, as full tilt�s tourney already is getting prize pools of around 250k for there Monday 1k, so I assume after a few weeks of spreading the word, Stars should get around 500k prize pools'''' Best part is we�ll be able to play for $100k 1st prizes eventually, but only have to beat 500 or so players instead of thousands. Re(1): F FULL TILT Yah, they need to fix a few things and it�d be much better. I disconnected once in a HU sng with like 20 bb�s, and after 5 min i got connection back and the match was over. My biggest peave of FTP = No time bank I don�t know how many tourneys I made calls right as the time was running out, where if i had a little while to think it through, I probably would have folded. Imagine people in $100k pots on cash tables time bank running out on a huge call....lol @ not having a minute to think it through for $100k... I think in general I will keep the same crazy style first hour in order to accumulate chips, but perhaps lower my range of calling all ins while at 3k stack, by just a bit, lowering avg cost just a bit. Where should I Draw the Line on going Rebuy Crazy during 1st hour of $100rebuy??????? Thoughts and Ideas welcomed I have always been willing to play rebuy tourneys without much concern as to how much $ I am spending (otherwise I would just put myself in lower buy-in tourneys if I weren�t completely comfortable) so long as almost every time I finish the first hour with a healthy, above avg stack, and sometimes I am superstacked. I am curious if I am taking this a bit too far or not in the $109rebuy'''' as quite often I spend around $1,000 or more in this tourney, and can even near $2k here and there if i run horrid. Re(1): THE_D_RY hand from 109r Crazy hand, too bad couldn't take it all the way:( Here is what i was thinking though: Mattg1983 is a very solid player, and had been raising a few hands per round, and had just made a nice comeback from short stack of perhaps 7kish (i may be wrong on this exact #)in the past 15 minutes or so, and now had 30k, a few from the money (@ 2k bb), I felt like there wasn't that great of a chance that a regular old button raise in an un-opened pot was a big pair (TT - AA), or AK necessarily. Hello all, The title pretty much explains the point of this thread, but this guy just asked me on Ultimate Bet to transfer $2500 to lil's full tilt account. He was logged on UB as lil_holdem954.
