Re(1): Why does it take hundreds of emails to ban certain players? Honestly they don't want the bad press. You think average "joe" American watching the WSOP on ESPN wants to deposit his money and play at a site where he knows there are people cheating and colluding. They only investigate this as damage control when they recieve complaints in hopes not to lose the complaining client. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Easiest site for NL cash games? Party and Paradise are easiest IMHO. Full Tilt has a lot of bad players but I always seem to get some ass who calls my AA all in pre flop w JJ or 1010 and hits. Short turn dumb fish sometime = bad beat and a kick in the junk. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Still think this stuff is unimportant??? Wouldn't surprise me to see a lot more of the "well known" or "top" online players get in trouble for this sort of thing. It does seem, however, that the online poker sites do have to be pushed or prodded into going after cheaters and colluders. This is what worries me. I have been playing online for about 3 years now and live games for ten years, and have seen cheating in both arenas. Technology and anonimity make this practice online much easier to get away with. Cheating and collusion are real and fairly common in online poker. Different IP's, IP proxy gates, and other techniques allow ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Online cheating Bullseye, This same thing has happened to me before at least twice where I noticed it ... and probably a few times that I didn't realize there was collusion going on at my SnG table. You can pick up on this easily if you are down to bubble. Softplay and Chipdumping are the most obvious signs to spot. One of the easiest signs this is happening is; if you are playing tight and not playing a lot you will see chip dumping to the shorter stacks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): A New Debate: Correct me if I am wrong! This type of stuff may have a large effect on all of us that play online poker. Age isn't necessarily the issue, although it does make the whole industry look bad in the eyes of the public. If anti-online gaming every does make it through the house and senate, I can garuntee you one of their "battle cries" will be we must protect underage children from gambling. The second, and possibly more important issue, is collusion and cheating. Cheating and collusion are real and fairly common in online poker. Different IP's, IP proxy gates, and other techniques allow this to continue. To further this ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Multi Acct...not JJ related. Cheating and collusion are real and fairly common in online poker. Different IP's, IP proxy gates, and other techniques allow this to continue. To further this problem many online rooms would rather not make a "big deal" about these kind of things and generate a lot of "press" on this topic. Also there is no reason, at least at the present time, for them to actively pursue these types of events, unless it is obvious, or they recieve complaints from other players. With that said, however, I truly believe that online poker rooms need to take this issue very seriously. If cheating and collusion ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): JJProdigy is 16 As someone who is a lot older than 16 I do feel empathy for JJ. Teenagers do not always make the best decision (God knows I wasn't always right at that age). With that said however, what he did was wrong pure and simple. You state "First, I want to point out, that in the last year, JJprodigy has won more money in online tournaments than ony other player with the exception of ozzy87/bigslick789." As I stated earlier, While I have pity for JJ, I have been able to consistently earn (albeit a small profit compared to JJ) every year from online poker. If I was using multiple accounts this number ... Posted in: Poker Community |

Re(1): EASY ON JJ PLEASE I consider it cheating. The problem is not as big in MTT, but that this stuff goes on in SnG's and ring games. Collusion is a fact and if you don't sniff it out quickly it can hit you pretty hard. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): BE HONEST!!! How many have None?? I have won 1st once...but there were only about 90 entrants. Placed in the money several times but usually not very high. I really don't play that many MTTT though ... more of a SNG and Cash game player. Lots of SNG wins however. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
