Re:relaxing poker without the herb?
i was smoking every day for 3 years. i played some of my best poker in that time and tilted the most when i stopped. after a few weeks i realised my flaws: - i was getting impatient - i'd try and make big plays at stupid times - playing frustrated/angry (whatever your feeling but good) was losing me money. - i'd end up giving up bankroll management and play stakes to chase my loses. - in summary, it was DISCIPLINE! i knew i was a good poker player, i just couldnt get it together. so i set myself a challenge. to grind a month using bankroll management rules starting with $200. ...

Re:PL Omaha (Hi) Bankroll Management
no doubt that was part of it, but i was picking my opponents. the last $300 i did i was playing very good very aggressive players. i knew as i was playing them i should probably leave the table and find someone else, but i just wanted to see how i went. i've taken note of this for my next crack.

I'd love to say I still have it, but I had no discipline. I was too tempted just to try the 6 person higher stakes tables ($3/$6) & ($5/$10). Needless to say I lost it all! After 3 days of hard work it felt horrible to lose it so quickly - and I'm sure I'll cop a blasting from people on here because of how stupid and ill disciplined it was. So I deposited another $300 into my account and went back to the $50 ($0.25/$0.50) ...
