Re(2): I'll try for the Last Time to get a 12/180 Turbo POKER Discussion Going.
AFink, Don't you love how to try and start a discussion and all you get is a bunch of trolls replying and crying like whining little babies' I love it, just reminds me why this forum is on a never ending spiral to Donksville. To everyone else, AFink, along with Jennifear have helped my game so much with the constant discussion/Q&A/posting of HHs/posting on PXF/posting on P5s. AFink doesn't need your help, he is posting to generate discussion about quality and importance of hands, he isn't asking for your advice or help. He is asking for discussion to commence. But obviously, everyone ...

Re(1): I just don't understand why ANYONE would do this
How is it a joke' If he expects to be at worst 60/40 to you, which is a fair assessment because with your stack, you are pushing ATC. It's 515 to win 2365 or 4.5 to 1 and since his call is at worst 1.8 to 1 underdog (if it's 65/35 for example), it's an easy call. PS: When the flop comes down 53J, it is now 50/50. So not really a bad beat story.

Re(1): Was i right to call this
Don't slowroll, wtf kind of comment is that' The guy could have had a straight, so I don't think it's an auto-call. However, when players bet stupid amounts on the flop like 9300, they are generally not going to have the absolute nuts. Good call.

Re(1): Best Site for Micro Grinders?
I don't mind the 90 man SNG on FTP that pays 18 players. Yeah, 18th place doesn't get much, but hell at least you get something. Absolute Poker is absolute shit in my opinion. I placed $50 down there, played in various micro tournaments, only to find myself down to $20 in a matter of hours. Thank god I won a couple of $6 SNGs to boost me back up over $50 where I promptly withdrew my money. I have never ran in to so many luckboxes and so many cooler situations on there - worse than Stars for that. However, if you go on there, I do recommend the $1 rebuy and that's about all I would ever play ...

Re(4): What's the longest period you've run bad?
Sometimes it is nice to mix up the kinds of games you play. FTP has some that Stars does not, plus some pretty profitable ones, especially the token ones. I don't think you can unregister for T$ yet with FTP, but it's nice if you play $8.80s or $24+2, just before the token, try and bust out and get the money instead. You will make a lot doing that.

Re(2): Stars $10 180
Are you fucking serious' They replaced a game of somewhat skill to a complete crapshoot for $12' And of course they would say they are having success with it. More players going thru = more rake for them. Only plus is if you can avoid the suck out, they take only 2 hours tops to play. F Stars.

Re(2): Crack AA
I really think it's 76 suited. But yeah, on Stars, ATC will beat AA about 60-70% of the time depending where you are in the tournament.

Re(2): What's the longest period you've run bad?
Been almost a month for me, I'd say almost 3 weeks now of one 2nd place cash in a 1 table SNG, and the rest have been losses. Should try FTP for a little bit instead of just Stars all the time.

Administrator: All tournaments have been paused. Please stand by for additional information regarding tournament cancelations. Thank you for your patience. And P5s is back to normal speed - obviously some major backbone went down.

Re(2): *** Stars Down Consolidated Thread ***
Face the facts, because when it comes back up, all the games will be cancelled or go through that "speed movement" where you see all the hands and all the cards really fast, then "end of tournament" either when you bust or when you win.

Desperate times call for desperate measure - Absolute Poker/UB
Anyone else see that you can now transfer money between Absolute and UB via some agreement they have now. I guess when you have two slowly failing poker sites scrambling for damage control, I can see why they agreed to do this.

Re(1): 45man stars turbo swings
6 max are an excellent source of cash. I won't even play anything higher than them now, because you can finish one from start to 1st (or 2nd) in around 25-30 minutes, it pays ok, you can play a wider range of hands and even if you bust, you generally haven't committed that much time in to them.
