You can't be on the gaming floor which is where you may get carded but they are a lot more lenient in a tournament area.

Re:DoN quiz
Why does everyone think Jennifear has all the correct answers' She has played 2 DON's so what experience doe she have. The most equity in these tournaments besides donks are regular SNG players that think they can just hop in and apply the same concepts to this game. 1. Fold. Nothing good will come from this hand if you are button up it is a shove. 2. Raise Call. Try to induce the big stacks to use the mentality that how dare you raise I am going to shove on you because you have to fold aces crap. You will be 80% to double up and cruise to the money. If somebody was truly on their ...

Engineer: Explain to me how I am going to be better off with online poker legalized.
1. When legalized, the government will have access to results so I will be required to pay taxes on every dollar won. 2. They will probably ban the companies like pokerstars and full tilt so I would have to wave goodbye to all the euro and asian fishies that have been getting recruited at a record rate. 3. The UIGEA has no teeth to it whatsoever with it only banning transactions to the U.S. that are received by commercial entities so if you are a third-party provider or an internet poker site, you can't receive your money in the U.S. (NO EFFECT.) 4. Anything the government touches gets ...

Re:Funky DoN Hand...
This is not a fold. If there is six players left, maybe. You have everybody covered and when you jam you are 80/20 with DFBSLR for sidepot that will keep you pretty close to where you started in chips and allows you to freeroll to knock out the other 3 in a coin flip.

echecks yes. I have one pending from the 17th. Paper checks no and I have heard of noone else as matter of fact I received one yesterday that was requested on the 29th. I would definately be more concerned about the paper check.

Re:2 worthless UB checks
I'm guessing that the poker sites constantly open and close accounts at different financial institiutions and these accounts are what a mailed check is drawn against. Unfortunately for you, you are such a baller that you didn't have the time to take the two checks to the bank when you received them. Now, if you play enough volume on their site, you should have a personal assistant/live chat feature which is your best avenue but good luck and prepare for a headache. Next time, when you get checks, try to deposit them within 30 days. P.S. Nice brag post about withdrawing 8500 dollars.

Most likely at their deadline, the money will not be in our accounts but will be a pending transaction at your bank that will be posted at the end of the day. Either way, this brings back neteller nightmares, paper checks from here on out.

Re:Sharkscope and Stars?
In my opinion, they included it in their illegal programs so they can drop the hammer on the idiots that would quote sharkscope in the chat. Like they would get sucked out on by a fish, then tell him he was down $500 bucks. That player would email stars and ask why this other guy knows what his results are then never plays again. It was really self-detrimental but a lot of guys were doing it so Stars started suspending guys if they quote sharkscope in the chat. Anyways, I use sharkscope everyday on stars and never hear a word about it.

Re:Full Tilt Is Burning And The Question Remains: Should HUD Software Be Allowed?
On so many levels you are misinformed on what multi tablers use this software for. Do you really think when you have 12-16 tables going that you have more than 4-6 of the options on your display. Most players typically just want to know how often the other players are raising, voluntarily putting money into the pot, number of hands you have played with the player, post flop aggression, and perhaps percentage of flops the player continuation bets. All of these so called advantages that the "top" players have against the other players that are unaware of this software are things that ...

Re:Puke spot in $52 Double or Nothing
If he has been minraising often, it is an easy shove if he is a competent regular. He is using his big stack to run the table and will fold most hands too you. Now, if he is random cowboy playing an isolated table, he has the same opening range of (any ace, any pair, K10+, suited connectors and Q10+) possibly atc if he is extremely aggressive but the difference is he will call your shove much lighter. In summary, if it is a regular, I shove it if it is a crazy sob, I would fold it.

Re(1): Stars Cash Step Tournament Petition
You guys have a much higher probability of talking Full Tilt into doing this. Ever since Lee Jones left and was replaced with Scotty, it seems like customer service has went downhill. The idea that a site would not want to promote steps where low level players work their ways up to play high levels is ignorant at best. Let's take an average $5 grinder who plays 100 sngs a week, he'll will spend $100 in rake while if that same player plays the step format and has moderate sucess, he will spend nearly $500 in rake. Now if I own a business where I can provide the same service and receive 5 times ...

Re(1): Rate My Bluff from PCA
You said that he was calling a lot of raises but how many pots had he minireraised. 90% of the time when an older player mini raises in live play it is the nuts at the time. So if you put him on aces, do you really think you make a bad player fold aces post flop. What range did you put him on preflop when he mini raised you' I think it's a horrible play because you assumed that he is a good enough player to lay down aces postflop but in the same breath tell us that you think he was a bad player. It was a good line against a player who doesn't know that you are capable of three betting with ...

Re(1): 16 Republican Congressmen sign UIGEA reg comment for us!!!
Sorry engineer, but I wouldn't go and change their grade just yet. This looks to me to be more of a vote for banks and credit unions that are pissed off that the government is trying to make them police our accounts. Yes, their agenda is the same as ours but I don't think that all of the congressman are necessarily pro gaming just because of this letter.

Re(1): Flopped Set, Turned Quads, how do you play your hand here?
I flat his reraise on the turn and hope for a non-spade river and shove. If he has the full house, you're getting all of his chips no matter what but if he just has an overpair, he probably folds to a reraise on the turn. By flatting the turn, I think he'll put you on flush draw since we all like to put people on the hand that we're ahead of. Either way, it's the only way you are getting paid from an overpair unless he's total donk. Also, he might be on the flush draw and you might let him get there if a spade comes on the river.

Stu, do you remember back last year when you won the two 100 rebuys and were debating on whether to turn pro or take a very good job offer in the Middle East(I believe). When you were successful, were you reshoving with A10 offsuit at final tables over early position raises' I seriously doubt it. It seems like you are still going deep alot but from your posts it seems like you are pushing too much trying to make plays when it is not always necessary. I thing that by learning more, you have actually made yourself a worse player. By this, you have learned all the fancy moves but you are not ...

Re(1): How can you EFFECTIVLEY play 3,4,5+ MTTs?
most playes use a tracking software such as pokertracker. These programs basically monitor the other players and let you know how much they are raising and their post flop aggression. This lets you type the player as TAG, LAG, etc and make your decisions accordingly.

Why can't we use EPT Steps tickets for APPT?
PokerStars has set up the PCA steps to be normal all the way through and the APPT is turbo through the first four levels. At first, I thought this was great because it was giving people the choice whether or not to play turbo or normal. Then, I realized that they are not transferable meaning if you have a level three ticket that you won in the PCA, you can not use it to buy in on level three on the APPT. This makes absolutely no sense to me since they are for exactly the same value. Hopefully, it's just a glitch and PokerStars will fix it shortly.

TMAY, I don't know you at all and I understand why you're upset about people talking shit that don't have the balls to say it to your face. But, I wish you would take a moment to reevaluate your decision to play there. This site was basically stealing from a lot of guys that you know personally and the only reason that they are making good on it is that they got caught by Nat and the rest of people involved in the investigation. By spending money on the site, you are basically saying that you are okay with that and since everything is being made right then it's okay. This thought process is ...

Re(1): Is softplaying legal / allowed? - Dariominieri and Inissint in Step6 SNG on Stars
I don't know if it is legal but it definately has happened more than once at high stakes sngs with the egos involved. Perfect example would be a few months agon when Big Joe got pissed at Premier for calling him with 22 and he softplayed opponents on the bubble to penalize Premier. Maybe, Dario doesn't like the other two guys and wanted to bust them and not inissint. It may technically be a violation of Pokerstars code but I think it happens more often then you think.

Re(1): SPACEGRAVY'S SNG PROP BET...
One thing that you haven't mentioned is whether or not profit from FPPS counts. SpaceGravy is Supernova for sure so for every 100,000, he can redeem for $1500. It's much easier if this profit is included in the bet not just staight profit from the SNG's.

Sir, you're reading way too much into Shannon's statement. He is not insulting Spanish people with this. What he's saying is that the locals that play at the casino are not good players which would be the same comment he would make if he was on the East coast compared to playing at Commerce or Vegas. It's just a general statement about the standard of play found at Barcelona so CHILL please.

Re(2): Petition For Pokerstars: Please add one more level to steps for PCA?
Dpottz, I'm not disagreeing that there still won't be top pros buying in but I like my chances a lot better in a format where all I have to do is finish top five to either try again or get my seat. The whole problem that I have with the current format is that in that last tournament you have 15 people who have put a lot of time in that feel very unsatisified with steps. If pokerstars uses my format, then everyone who reaches the final level, would continue to try to get there seat, even if you got knocked out first, you still get $500 off a $7.50 investment. Also, there is no way that it is ...

Petition For Pokerstars: Please add one more level to steps for PCA?
Okay, let's say you make it all the way through to step 6 which is very possible with a very friendly structure for sit and go players in rounds 1-5 with 5 to 6 of the nine players getting some kind of ticket. You reach level six and all of a sudden its just 3 out of 18 and you know damn well that the top players will be drooling over satellite players in these so you will probably have 9-10 top players directly buying in. Why not just add one more level' Here's an example: Make level six a nine man sit and go with top two level 7 entries which are $6300(6000+300), third and fourth receive ...

Re(1): I am in shock...am I wrong here?
Tough Break Fiend. I think your mistake is not shoving preflop with a guy with his stack who is loose. You only want to raise with made hands such as 10-10 or up because you said he was hyper agressive and had a huge stack. If you were first to act after the flop, I wouldn't mind it and your idea was to shove the flop no matter what hits but he was first to act. When an aggressive player checks a flop with that much money out there, and you have ace high danger signals have to be going off in your head. I understand you were committed but why put yourself to a diffucult decision post flop if ...

You just have to take the effort to learn the new tricks of the trade. If you have an epassporte card, cashing out should not have changed for you. I've been averaging 6-12 hours for pokerstars cashouts to be available in your account. It was slow at first when they were processing all the new accounts but now that things have settled down it seems to be getting faster and faster. Sorry if I came off the wrong way with, I just think top live pros have no clue on to play sit n go format but if you're chasing sponsors than it makes absoulte sense.
