Bodog WOW
Enough bad stuff gets written about sites here, so I thought I would add this. I just put in a withdraw request for my Bodog account balance, at 2 am. The money hit my Neteller account in 7 minutes. I'm serious.

Re(1): Interesting Scenario
Yeah, definite spot for an overbet there. As for if you should call, depends on if 1/2 the pot is worth fighting for. I mean, if it was checked down to that point and a guy moves in for 100x BB you know you are never winning and just paying enough rake to make the split a losing proposition. Another great spot to overbet is when the board shows 3456x and you have 78, or anything that resembles the nuts vs someone who thinks they are safe.

Re(6): $790 at a .01/.02 NL table on UB..
One time at the .25/.50 No Max table a bunch of $10/$25 regulars sat down just for the hell of it. I had a $60 stack, next smallest soon became like $3k. A while later Mahatma sat down with $50,000 to my $60. It was pretty cool actually, about a billion railers and everyone wanting my seat. One hand I had Q8o from the SB and didn't even complete the BB. Flop came J88, Turn Q, River blank. I was furious that I folded, as the action got pretty large. BUT.....Mahatma had JJ, in an unraised pot no less. Whew.

Re(7): LiL Ques. and Dont u have to lay down AA here>
"And aces should beat twos 4 out of 5 times; so u didnt actually get "unlucky". " Obviously the original poster isn't continuing with the hand unless he flops a set. Thinking of it as AA v 22 being 80% is obv flawed, given the situation. As a sidenote, my 22 read and correct suckout prediction is flat sick. Rank me immediately please.

Re(3): LiL Ques. and Dont u have to lay down AA here>
The opponent is thinking about the AA staring him in the face, not your cards. TO ME, from the way you played it, it looks like 22 or 89. But from your tone, I am guessing you tried to make a move and AA called you' Or hit a 2 outer on you'

Re(6): Is it practical to fold KK in a cash game?
The question of "ever'" and this particular situation are so different. Obv you are getting great odds here, and have a chance to be way way ahead. You only had 1/2 a buy-in and had put a good majority of it in already. But....say you and another player have 5x the max buy-in. It is highly conceivable that you could fold in this situation. I imagine these are the type of situations that Bill Ivey mentioned he would fold. In those higher games, players often have HUGE stacks in relation to the blinds. In that case, you can figure out if a solid player has you beat (or tied), and can safely ...

Re(5): What puts your poker game on TILT, other than the game itself!
My form of tilt is way different than most people. Usually it is around 2 a.m., I am stuck a few buy-ins, and bleary eyed. Maybe I do something stupid like move up a level and pray to hit a set, or flop something huge. So, I play HORRIBLY, just calling, never raising, hoping to hit a monster. I don't, re-buy chips to the max, miss again, re-buy to the max, etc. I finally say F it, and figure I am down a littlebit more, leave the table to find I dropped like 2 buy ins, b/c I kept rebuying little after little and never noticing. I would rather just get stacked b/c then at least I know where ...

Re(3): Question about a hand from 2005 WSOP
When I watched this hand, I thought the same thing..."Wow, if Hachem took off a free card he would have turned the nuts and won a HUGE pot." I haven't heard much mentioned of this hand in those terms (just what a donk Kanter was). I also agree the CO limp is pretty strange. Good thing Hachem can afford a Cardrunners membership now, could learn a little something about position and aggression. But seriously, it is amazing to me that Hachem was a short stack, folded the eventual nuts in a pot he could have very well taken, and STILL won. P.S. Jonny "These aren't shorts, I just have my pants ...

Re(1): changing it up
GL, will take a while to figure out the differences. 1 difference, pocket pairs go WAY up in value, since you should always be deep stacked. Sets are gold. Mid-late stages of tourney, TPTK = nuts. Cash game, deep stack. TPTK= not worth getting stacked.

Re(1): Questions for winning cash game players
I multi-table low stakes, and win roughly 7-8 out of every ten sessions. Succesful multi-tablers can reduce variance big time by playing a TON of hands. In fact, I've had streaks winning 20 out of 21 days. BUT, my problem is that my winning sessions are usually 100bb's, while my losing sessions are 300bb. Winning so frequently makes me force things, trying to "book a winner". Before I know it it is 2 a.m. and I have no chance of making it back on the plus side. Personally, this is a huge leak of mine. It really makes the term "winning day" worthless. I can win 7 days in a row, and give it ...

Re(4): why do people like this play poker???
Why do people like this post in poker discussion' "So I flopped a great hand, SLOWPLAYED it on the flop, and OMG he sucked out on me'!!!''" First off, no bad beat story ever should include checking the flop. Second, if anything, it is that, a "bad beat". Go to bad beats forum, cry there about how you gave a free card and a guy caught up. Weak.

Party Bonus today?
Did everyone get a Party bonus offer today' I've been looking forward to the reload offer, but instead I got a $30 no deposit offer. Free money is nice, but you can't do much with $30. Do the bonus offers differ by player' Anyone get something different offered' I wonder if I could just ask them to change the no deposit bonus to a reload bonus. Doubtful.

How did you ever get points in the first place' You have to risk some money, just do it. If you are so concerned about losing money, go to a NL cash game table, buy in for min and only push premium hands.

Re(2): To the people who say they never fold KK preflop....
One point has been made in this thread a few times in defense of calling: KK runs into AA 1 in 24 (or whatever times). This might be true, in absolute terms. BUT, how many times does KK run into AA facing a limp re-raise of a pot already raised twice' NOT 1 in 24. This is why your typical clueless players pay off so often. They think, "What are the chances he has those cards here, like 1 in 200'" Sure, if your opponents are playing their hand blind. But they aren't. The situational probability of him having AA is pretty high here in my opinion. Whether it is 1 in 1.3 or whether it is 1 ...
