To Pokerstars/FullTilt: Time to shift to a Euro-centric schedule I don't really understand the logic of having a major tournament run at 1am European time when the vast majority of your players are European. If you start it at 9pm European time there will still be plenty of time to run satellites throughout the day and for Canadians/South Americans it would take place in the afternoon/early evening. I just don't see how this is an issue. It's makes sense and it's the right way forward. Posted in: Poker Sites |

To Pokerstars/FullTilt: Time to shift to a Euro-centric schedule For recreational players, possibly, but for pros I disagree, I think it'd actually be better than for Europeans. If it was shifted as proposed a normal schedule would start at like what, 6/7AM' It would be similar to how it currently is for Aussies/New Zealanders. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Re:Down to 3, 180man SNG: would you call or wait for better? I probably fold here, but could lean towards a call depending on the tendencies of both players. Generally I'd have the same calling range as the poster above, 99+ AQ+. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:For People Who Believe KO Mtt's Are -EV... lol, I've been pretty badly misquoted here. If you read what I actually wrote, I said that your EV is lower, not that they are -EV. They are certainly +EV, but I think they are less +EV than a normal freezeout. In my experience, the level of bad plays aren't that much higher than in a normal freezeout. You do get the odd player making stupid moves, but I see this in most tournaments I play. This may be because I play low stakes, so naturally there is going to be a greater ratio of bad players anyway, than someone who plays mid-high stakes, where maybe there is a notable difference ... Re:Is it just me or are MTTs more donk-fest like these days? There's your answer. I play almost double that in one month, and some regs are playing that in a week. Multitabling on Stars and Full Tilt is pretty simple nowadays tbh with stuff like Table Ninja and FTS. Gradually add more tables and after a while 8-12 tables will feel pretty easy. You also need to balance your field sizes. Looking at your OPR your ratio of large-field tournaments is too high. Add in some $4.40/180's, or some of the smaller field tournaments on Full Tilt in your sessions and your variance will be much lower. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Pstars late reg creating massive prizepools in daily tourneys Hang on. Haven't a shitload of players just left Bodog because the prizepools are too small' And now people are complaining that Stars prizepools are too big' So what do you want' Yes the variance is high, thats why you multitable and ideally play some smaller field tournaments (such as the 180's) to go with the larger fields and cut down on variance. But in the long run, this is hugely +EV for any winning player. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
