$11 Poker Maximus Events
Long-time P5s member, profitable player on stars since 07 and in the short time I played on FullTilt. I'd like to play as many $11 PokerMaximus events as possible this month, starting today if possible, and play the Main Event if bankroll allows. I'm a trustworthy guy, and played some profitable stakes on parttimepoker in the past. I've done 60/40 with makeup in the past but am open to negotiation. Thanks. Bodog Software up date..
Anyone else get some $$ placed into their account by Bodog' I did. It got me to download this trainwreck of an update that I hadn't heard about. I played 3 orbits of micro cash, doubled my roll, and left. Couldn't think of any appropriate insult for "Player 6." The anonymous games suck. Poker is NOT an anonymous game. If they are hellbent on having them, give people the option of playing with or without screen names and let the market decide.

I acknowledged up front that my sample size is small (though I invite you to look at my Stars Sharkscope for a larger sample of SnGs). In a high variance game like these, isn't the idea that a good player must exploit his/her edges and "run hot" from time to time' And if I play another 100 of these in a row and don't cash in a single one, I'll still be beating them at a good clip. Yep, they're beatable.

My small sample: 52 games, two 1sts, 3 other FTs, almost 300% ROI. Beatable, yes. Variance, a bunch. Possible to berate donks who suck out before getting to the FT, no. Since I just read the new forum guidelines, let me be constructive. I apply turbo SnG/MTT strategy and ranges to these. Tight and try to chip up early, push/fold ranges late. If you are able to get the big stack, they are really really easy to exploit near the bubble and pay bumps as the quickfold button is sometimes clicked before you even try to steal. offensive--good point. I gave away some info there. tyson--you're right about the blinds, my bad. You know, maybe I decided to go to 3 BBs in hoping that the station would fold, because he almost never folded to a 2-2.5x preflop raise. Then, I checked the flop then a Q came on board and I folded to a bet. Huge misplay, IMO. This is the hand that killed me.

Two reasons: 1, the blinds have gone up. 2, I randomly vary my preflop raises in a range between 2x and 3x--not a function of hand strength.

So yeah, it's a brag, I went real deep in this. At this point I'm a top 10 stack with around 40 players left Here are two spots five hands apart or so. Just checked this thread on my way home from the inlaws for Thanksgiving. Made top 15 in a $4 1000 man yesterday. I am still interested in playing. I've seen it once before. The odds are pretty staggering. P (pocket pair) = approx .0.6, P(3 players being dealt pp) = .06 x .06 X .06 = .0002 P (flopping set = approx .12. P (3 players flopping set w pp) = .12 x .12 x .12 = .0017 .0002 X .0017 = .00000034
