Sorel " Da righter of wrongs " Mizzi
Saying he is cheating still is pure speculation and the type that adds unnecessary additional hate. I feel why people are upset I am just saying there comes a time where maybe we should take a step back from our old sentiments and ponder the possibility things have changed. Perhaps I just tend to be the type of person who likes to stick up for people when no one else seems to want to. There is always another side to the story. I am not a big Sorel supporter and I am just a supporter of there always being another perspective that people can consider.

Sorel " Da righter of wrongs " Mizzi
Lefra, I too believe things can change and dumb mistakes don`t make you a bad person. I strangely find myself rooting for guys like Sorel to turn it around and prove the haters wrong in the end. The Justin Bonomo story for example is a great one. Thanks for attempting to show the positive side but the haters are programmed with their canned answers at all times :) I would encourage everyone to ask yourself if you ever did anything straight up stupid and selfish for the love of money, sex or greed and I would ask you if that defined you as a person.... I should think not ... Everyone ...

Phil Ivey's Facebook Page
Bottom line is Ivey has the intelligence to know the firestorm that is going to hit the FTP pro's at the WSOP and he HAS to boycott. (it has just begun as you can see from the Juanda situation today). Any pro wearing FTP logo's is going to get lambasted. As usual Phil made a perfect read ..... Easy Call IMO ..... To those who call him selfish though: WW YOU do'

AK facing an over shove on the river WTF do I do here?
Player dependent. Your turn check complicates things. He may have decided you do not have an ace and cannot call. On the other hand he may have made a boat or 3 4's somehow but you have to ask yourself after checking the turn if he thinks he can get value from a monster with a shove on the river knowing you showed weakness on the turn. Even then if he is smart and see's you as a pot control turn check with an ace kind of guy then maybe he is shoving coz it looks like its a bluff Very tough spot here but I am thinking checking the turn and giving up control of the pot makes it harder. If you ...

Re:MTT Playing to WIN or .....
Thanks the problem is how/where do you learn about making adjustments, (and what adjustments) making them fast, and reacting to the adjustments that are thrown at you. Is there any good reference material on adjustments ' Harrington on Holdem is a great place to start, see "The End Game" Otherwise maybe some folks here will give you a few ... The truth is there is no short list and the best way to do it is to use logical rationale rather then implement stuff you dont fully understand because someone else said it would work. One quick obvious example: You see that a big stack ...

Re:MTT Playing to WIN or .....
The answer to this is the same as a lot of poker questions IMO. It depends! You take what your opponents give you! Where they show weakness you capitalize. There is no one way to win the key is adjusting to your opponents styles and stack sizes and finding the best ways at your table or tables based on those dynamics and cashing in. The very best players are better at these adjustments, period. Trying to fit one style in as the best way to close is absolutely incorrect

Re:Guy open shoves 100 big blinds midway through massive $3 rebuy. Do you call with QQ?
FWIW Bakosa is a pretty decent player and good enough to shove AA or KK for the very reason that you take these hands out of his range

Re:Balancing Poker and your Job
While I cannot claim to be perfect and I am always battling with myself too I would have to say you have an issue with discipline here. You need to be able to separate and focus in the moment. I strongly believe that when we are undisciplined in other area's of our life it will seep into our game as well. While it is evident poker is more fun and it is hard to not think about playing for a living when we are successful I would refer to Jennifear's post about when you will actually be ready. Th truth is the disciplined side of you already KNOWS the answers to your questions ...

Re:Over Thinkers
"What if" should not factor into decision making. You have the make the right play based on your read of the player, the situation and the math. Only YOU know what lead you to make what you determined to later be a bad decision. It is likely that you are not staying grounded and logical enough when put to a big decision. It is common in these spots to let your mind be clouded by the significance and excitement causing your thoughts to be scrambled. In this state you will make too many emotional decisions. Try and keep yourself in a " spock " like state of mind at all ...

Re:"hu challenge" button
I have played heads up after situations like this many times. HU NL cash might be my best game actually as I have a great grip on HU game flow and knowing how my opponents are goign to react (expecially non hU Regs) If I stack some guy in a full ring game and he starts whining I always challenge them to heads up because I think I will have a huge edge over most FR cash players. I tend to play a bit against grain to throw off the regs reads who expect everyone to take the same line in generic situations. So since I dont play like them they sometimes think I cannot play .... which leads to ...

I absolutely would fold if I thought he had AA. If you are both that deep you have a lot of room to figure it out preflop based on what you know about the villain
