Hi OT I hope this finds you all as well as can be expected
I just wanted to drop a line to say hi der I have not been on OT but a couple times since I have been home and then for just a few mins or seconds just have not felt well ( not really an excuse I know) I went from IV pain meds to oral pain meds and the OXY really fogs me up and I really have a hard time puttung together a readable sentence ( who am I kidding I cant do it sober either) anyway I guess chemo is working because in recent weeks pain has lessend somewhat and chemo side effect have become worse and come on faster so they have reduced me to 2 60 milligrams pill of morphine a day and ...

Well Dr Kaplan just left and he is going to discharge me and hope I dont have to come back white count was over 5k this morning plateletts are still only 27 k ansd they will not resume any kind of treatment chemo or radiation until they get to 70 k I have no idea how they are going to do that since they have been stuck at around 25-30 k for most of last week but they do not seem worried about it I am of course wigged out this is a very agressive fast growing cancer and without treatment they are tyelling me it will come roaring back my brother is fussing at me for being a worry wart but at ...

cancer doc just left white cell count 3100 lifted nutriopenic restructions said as far as he was concered I was ok to go home till next week when chemo starts again but fluid in my lungs and antibioocs forthcoming will keep me here for another few days they say slept hard for 4 hours (thank you oxy cocondon) again thanks for all the love I cannot explain how very much it has meant to me and my family my brother has read this thread a number of times and the whole family has lol'ed as I told a funny story relating to the ot'er posting in the get well soon thread ile ot has been part of my ...

hey guys kinda long day white cells went to 1700 today fluid buildup in my lungs they are not sure what it is as I will show no symptoms as bad a shape am in I will just crash so for 1st time in 2 days I am hooked up to an IV machine for antibiotics and taking a lasik ( to remove exess fliud) chemo was 2 weeks ago and while i had shaved my head (I guess those of you thast have my FB have seen pics) it started coming in in clumps today head face pubic and body that for some reason has me in a mood the upside is the drugs are great lol thanks for the love and support

long day sorry so late white count rose to 1100 today (last night blood work) cat scan several of tumors have gone down in size from (grapefriut to lemon) cancer is still showing in my liver and bones those "lesions" have not changed some respoitory issues have kicked back in so they are putting me back on breathing treatments and increasing my steriods again still am working on weaning me from IV pain meds and working on some combos though it it is ATM looking less likely I will make it home before my next chemo treatment on the 20th unless some drastic improvment looking less like for now I ...

guess I jumped the gun on my post Doc just left my white cell has doubled to 400 z9 it has been 100-200 for last several days)still a long way from where they want me to be but he seems to think they will grow very rapidly from this point now forward and I may be able to resume treatment once they hit 1000 plus that is what we have been waiting on for last week as I have been taking a couple different shots just for increasing white cell counts no hot nurses in almost a week now real shame too I will ask my Brother about trying to snag a few pics though I am pretty sure there is a nurse tech ...

in the spirit of trying to remain revalant besides being moved into a broom cloest from my wonderful 2 room suite we had had for the last week plus II am being weaned from IV pain meds and it seemed to have worked I slept most of the night I am more concered about the nauesa meds being switched but I will try to mantain a smliey face over this thanks for the love

Hey guys sorry no updates till now but " the" laptop had an issue and hand I didnt have a way to post UNTILL now should be fixed in a few days no real change at the momemnt still in hospital white count fell to 100 from 200 yesterday got more platletts today finished 14 day run of antntibiotics few mins ago docs are concered they may be keepning my counts low took me off of tlmmyerty all of the patches and heart monitor sorry I am very tired some good news radioligist did take time to say in his report he had never seen a tumor the size of mine shrink so fast and was encoureged by that as ...

well after 2 weeks of nearly sucking all of my blood dry everyday they have decided to give me some back so I woke up 1/2 hour ago getting 2 pints because my hemoglobin and some other thing were low and at the momemt I feel some better than I have in a couple days my platletts did come up to 35 k from 19 hope I am not going overboard with updates

well have had some set backs white count is at critical levels so no radiation or chemo till they get fixed normal I think 5k I have 200 no fresh friuts no flowers no sick people etc no talking about going home for a while may have to stay in hospital for chemo instead of out patient taking a shot every day till white counts get much better shot will cause my joints, bones to ache I thought the side effects from 1 round of chemo I had mostlty missed found out today they are JUST getting started with the worst to come over next few day days (10-14) then I have next round in 2 weeks I think ...

had a good night last night considering that I had a HORRBLE day yesterday slept almost all night though with help of dilaudid (pain meds great stuff) have another bone scan and some other stuff for today not looking forward to that too much but as of now seem to be in a better mood than i was yesterday still getting fed through a tube for those of you on FB with me you can see it sis-in-law took picture last night as always thanks for the love

ok change in plans NO RADIATION today platletts are WAY to low mine are 31k normal is 150k blood strarting to ooze from everywhere nose sinus scratches my reinforcments platletts are in route as we speak ll guess I will be here thru weekend at least before restarting radiation thanksfor the love I hope am not boring you to tears

well for that are on my side I got some really good news today the tumor is NOT I repeat NOT inside my puminary artery according to my MRI I had yesterday so my doctor is VERY happy about that it appears that the chemo and radiation are working for the momment so as I was really only a few days from checking out I still have a long road to hoe but it seems I am making progress at least iin short setps you guys have no idea how much the outpouring of love and caring means to me asl aways I need or want nothing

Thank you for all of the encourgement and kinds words ITT you have no idea how much it means to me things have moved very fast over last few days I got results from brain MRI today it has not spread to my brain so that is a 1st for last few days. My left lung is almost closed off from the tumors I have it has spread a lot over past week will see the cancer doc in morning at 6 I will try to keep ya"ll updated
