Jeff Shulman Interview on Mediocre Poker Radio
Anyone else hear the interview with Shulman on MPR (Mediocre Poker Radio)' They have the interview on their site and you can also hear it on their podcast. Pretty good interview with him talking about how he played the ME. Interesting quote that he said with 200 people left he thought he'd make the final table. Still think the quote about trashing the bracelet if he won it was a little over the top, nice to see he's back peddling on it. Damn, he slams Harrah's. Be crazy if he could pull it off, the shulman sweep (ME & EME) would never be done again... Tom

Now THAT'S Funny! Just went on to iTunes to see if they posted an update on a podcast, but when I click on thier podcast it says "PokerRoad Radio" does not seem to be a valid Podcast URL. Guess everything is tied back to the domain, bust.

Guy had AA, raised and got reraised, he pushed, the other guy called. AA vs QQ, guess who won. Yup, the QQ. He hit a flush and down wen the A's. That was the first hand of the ME, seeya 10k!

from the Stars Blog... Gavin made it 150K to go pre-flop, Marc made it 400K, and Gavin called. The flop came 3-2-4. Marc Made it 500K, Gavin raised to 2 million, amd Marc almost immediately pushed all in. Gavin looked like he was in pain. he had Marc covered by only about 500K. After about two minutes of thought, he said, "You have the best hand." And then he called. Marc showed 4-7 for a pair of fours. Gavin showed K-5 for the open ender with two overs. The turn was a 3. The river..........a king. And Gavin Griffin has won the EPT Grand Final. A full report will be out soon.

Know that you're 'working out the details' but can you give us an idea of what we're looking at, in the way of cost. Didn't have Sirius last year, was going to get it just for the coverage, but passed when I couldn't get the coverage via the net. I had to use one of their home boxes... PS, nice dig on the Christmas card, ouch!!

The board comes and Cunningham rakes in the pot to eliminate O'Donnell. O'Donnell is eliminated in 21st place, earning him $494,797, while Cunningham's stack is up to $11,750,000.

The Extra 2 Million Chips in the WSOP...

Didn't know they got rid of their cash games... Played there once and made some money in them. The S&G structure is ridiculous. Actually the rebuy tourney had that Sat was a pretty bad as well. I see they are having a $100 buy in on the 3rd of Feb with 5k starting chips. Sounds good, but I wonder what the blinds will be… Sent them a note, lets see if they respond.

Met him a few years back, Foxwoods WPF... He was staying in the same motel/shack (The Hilltop) we were. I got a nice run if cards day one of the event and he was there giving me advice on the rail when we were playing down to 27. "See that guy in seat 3, if he raises reraise him Big!" The guy did it 5 times in a row, all but the last time he folded... The last time he finally came back over the top and I let it go. The guy flashed A's... The guy was Gavin S. from The STEPS tournaments are a series of one (or two) table sit n go tournaments which function like a series of satellites, with X number of players going into the next level of tournament. For example, the one-table STEP one tournaments cost $11 (+ $1 juice). The top two finishers from this ten-person tournament go on to STEP two. You can buy directly into STEP two for $50 (+$5 juice), or qualify in via STEP one. The top two finishers from STEP two go on to STEP three, and so on.

I play locally here as well, mostly for the social (drinks) aspect of it... The bar has 4 locations here and play once a week at each of their locations. Last year they gave a seat to the WSOP. The top 10 from each location played for the seat, I was able to qualify for the finals. Players get points on how they finished that week, top 10 got points, 100 for 1st, 75 for 2nd... down to 10 points for 10th. They just started up a couple months ago and are giving two poker cruises at the end of the year. Then in January they start up the 07 WSOP qualifiers. As everyone has said, they play is ...
