Re:Current Cashout Problems/Long Term Effects of UIGEA TE, From my understanding of the UIEGA and taking evidence from how the OFAC laws work (outside of wires where both originiators and recipients are scrutinized) that the bank's obilgation is to make sure that your customer is not a Specially Designated National. Banks must not allow it's own customers to be or wires coming from SDN's to occur. Checks and ACH's are not monitored, so I would not expect they would be (or could be) here either as a rule of thumb. The current echeck saga could certainly occur again, but that would be from the "originator side" yet again, ... Posted in: Poker Legislation |

Re:Guy folded pre flop HU in milestone hand? There is massive collusion going on in heads up games at Pokerstars (Pokerstars is allowing it as well). The players are autofolding getting 11 hands per minute to give them an incredible edge on regular players who get one chance per minute. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Pokerstars milestone bonus.... we are being scammed. There are many heads up tables with two people sitting at multiple heads up tables autofolding around milestone time. These players are not playing any hands and are receiving at least a 12x greater chance of winning than regular players. / Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Why would any candidate be against online poker? The religious vote is the main reason in my opinion. Look how far it has gotten the lunatic Mike Huckabee in Iowa. Also #2 would be protectionism. The government is the biggest crack dealer (and marks up his product double what it should sell for) in the country so why allow competition. I think Congressman who are "pure" in their intention to ban online gaming are few and far between. Posted in: Poker Legislation |

Re(2): 16 Congressmen submit UIGEA reg comment against us! During this quiet season, I was debating what is my next courses of action since I have bugged my representatives enough (for the time being). Well this is my calling I think for next week. Two signers of this letter are in competitive races for a seat next year: Marilyn Musgrave Historically, the district has been friendly territory for Republicans, though Marilyn Musgrave has been thrown for a scare in the last two elections due to her Democratic opponents' strength in Fort Collins. 2006: Won 51% to 45% 2004: Won 46% to 43% John Doolittle John Doolittle and his family are thiefs, and ... Re(4): To review submitted UIGEA reg comments: When I last read there were only 4 pages of comments and now there are close to 7, it has increased significantly over the past few days. I will enjoy a cup of coffee over the new comments tomorrow morning I think. Amusing read from Mr. Chad Hill, of Foes of Fun. 1. He recommends an OFAC style list for gambling. I work for a financial institution and this would be a complete nightmare. OFAC requirements are quite time consuming and very costly to adhere to. 2. This comment was interesting, if the country was run by FOF, we would have "concerned citizens" making judgements about what is ... Posted in: Poker Legislation |

Re(8): Presidential Candidates' Stands on Internet Poker Couple things with it being rather quiet in Washington: There is a race tonight for a House seat that should be close in Ohio: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also get to know this Huckabee character, cuz he is very very scary for not only poker, but our country. Also some more quotes from Huckabee that are frightening (although he is way behind Clinton, Obama, and Edwards in a "what if" poll): "Huckabee said ungiving individuals are responsible for higher taxes. Re(6): Presidential Candidates' Stands on Internet Poker Mike Huckabee quote: Character IS the issue; we DO legislate morality. (Jun 2007) This guy is one scary character. God help us if he gets into the White House. He is also making a push in other states, I really don't like the surge he has been putting on. This guy is the biggest fraud out there (see immigration comment, then vs. now). "Political Wire has learned that new Strategic Vision polls to be released later this week show Mike Huckabee increasing his lead in Iowa, jumping into the lead in Georgia and moving into second place behind Rudy Giuliani in Wisconsin. I am not part of their group (and never will be) so I would appreciate if they stayed out of my business, I certainly stay out of theirs.
