I am a full-time law student and play poker when i have time which at the beginning of the semester is a lot more than the end.

FTP FTOPS petition and $%@& talk thread
I have been a full tilt lover through and through. However, I am quickly moving most everything over to stars. I can't believe they don't realize they are giving the high stakes regs such an advantage over the the other players. Like really full tilt the main event your gonna give every reg 4 or 6 entries. Cut me a break tilt and use your head. This is a joke and totally ends the recreational players dreams.

Petition to stop FTP from ruining Double guarantee's week
Multiple entry tournaments couldn't be any dumber. Why is full tilt pushing away the recreational player. Earth to fulltilt, these people aren't dumb. They will quickly realize their chances of winning a tournament strongly diminish when every reg has 4 entries and they have only 1. Come on full tilt poker doug. Step up and stop this bullshit.

Working fulltime while playing online poker
I am a full-time law student and manage to play like 5 nights a week and 12 tables at a time or so. Always huge sundays and just don't sleep a lot in general on the weekdays if i get deep and have early class. Next year I will have a real job as a lawyer so not sure i can manage this schedule.

Do most pros hate poker and the lifestyle around it?
Wow what a thread, just wasted 30 minutes reading it when I should be studying for finals. For starters I am a full-time law student who plays a lot of poker because I FUCKING love the game and love the grind. I sacrifice lots of sleep and drink lots of coffee. Some days if I go deep I sleep two hours before a full day of 10-12 hours of school and studying. The ups and downs are tough to swallow but then again I don't play for a living and am not harmed if I lose for a while so I can't speak on the stressfulness that poker brings to people who need to pay rent. I am currently in my last year ...

IN. Confused why 30 rebuys don't count. For the last midstakes Comp we had 30 rebuys and 129fos so why not keep it the same. That comp worked perfect

Bold Predictions
My goal for 2010 was to break into the top 1000 on p5's and I finally broke through. Feels really good. Just wanted to thank everyone on here who has helped me, this is a great website and I really appreciate everything it has done for me and my poker game.

What i've learned
just read this again after FT Bubbling the brawl. I couldn't sleep and was pretty upset about it since it was a big chance for a huge score. However, you got to look at it differently I won a few K on a Sunday. How can I be upset. I spent all day watching football and playing poker. Thanks again for the post man and best of luck. Hope you ship something big.

FTP refuses to compensate, help please
Wow I have been having this problem with fulltilt every so often for the past couple weeks. Happened to me at the FT of the 25k turbo rebuy. They basically said I should fix my internet and then compensated me with my buy-in back of $150. I was chip leader with 7 left and I ended up getting 5th. During this time stars was working fine, along with surfing the web. Not sure why tilt doesn't recognize that it is their fault and not ours. Oh well just thought I would let you know your not alone in this happening to you and tilt did basically nothing for me either.

Playing backed or on your own dime?
I am not backed, have about 40k in my roll and play the sunday majors and the 163 freezouts. I dont usually play 100 rebuys unless i am feeling like a real degenerate. Its a tough life I don't recommend playing not backed without 100k but I love to gamble so I do it and its only a hobby for me I am a law student. Hope that helps
