Pocket 10s in the BB and on the bubble...
Today I played the Saturday $40 tourney at Napa Valley Casino. I had 24K in chips with 6K/3K blinds and I was on the BB with 18K behind. I was like 2nd in chips, there wasn't that much of a difference between the players since the blinds are moving up and the bubble hasn't busted. 6 players left and 5 pays. It goes... fold Villain all-in 23k fold fold SB fold and I have 10s The villain hasn't played more than 3 hands during the FT and when he did there was no Aggression. Should I find a fold here or call the All-in'...Should I wait for the bubble to pop or try to go for the win' Just FYI ...

What is the average wait time to be seated at a poker table?
I recently moved and wanted to try out the card room that's about 15 minutes from my new place. The first time I went it took about 45 minutes to be seated. That's because some more people came in and we created a new table. The second time I went was on a Thursday night and I called in advance to put my name on the wait list to make my wait as short as possible. I got to the card room 45 minutes later and still had to wait. The games that were going on were 2 limit tables, NL and PLO. I waited for another hour and a half until I just left. Now, I'm not trying to bash the place because ...

Should Boxing and MMA matches change their scoring system?...
What I'm saying is that in comparing poker to Boxing and/or MMA, is Boxing and MMA living in a world where their blinds never rise' Would it be just as boring for poker if the tournaments never raised the blinds and we just played down to one' On that same note could there be something done when they force to much action' we've all been in situations where everyone left at the table has less than 4 BBs. I know the 10 point system is crap, but could they learn something from the poker tournament structure by forcing the action in later rounds'

Should Boxing and MMA matches change their scoring system?...
I was just thinking. Would It be wise for boxing and MMA to change their scoring system to put more pressure on the fighters in the later rounds' Just like poker does with raising the blinds' Would this put more pressure on the fighters to finish the fight' This system could make the later rounds forced 8 - 10 rounds and then forced 7 - 10 rounds and so on. I think this system would work better for boxing since it has more rounds that MMA. Just a random thought.

Folding everytime in this spot?
Unless you put him on 55, then you should be thinking that you are good there. When the Ace hits on the turn you should think you hit the nuts. the only reason to call on the turn is to induce a big bet on the river, which you got. I would all-in on the river. Why did you just call the turn'

My Poker Friends
What's up everyone. I have been reading poker books, watching videos and doing what I can to become a better poker player. Lately I've been reading that one of the best ways to get to the next level for your poker game is to have friends around you that are better than you at poker or that toucan learn from. The only friends that I have that play poker don't play online and their idea of poker is playing every hand and calling all the way down with K6o. Don't get me wrong they're great people but not the kind that I can learn a lot from. Now P5 is a great place and I'm very glad I found ...

Final Table Chip Count...
Hey guys, I final tabled at a local card room. Once we all sat down at the table I wanted to know the peoples stacks compared to mine. I play mostly online so I'm used to being able to glance over and compare stacks. My question is how do I get that information'. Do I just ask everyone at the table for their chip count' Even if I try to keep a mental note, the stacks sway so much with the blinds being so high. Is there a trick to getting that information' Thanks guys.

Working on my heads up play...
Hey, what's guys. I have a quick question. I'm a very low stakes player. I know one of my leaks is my heads up game. My question is, should I start playing heads up matches on FTP at the very low stakes' In other words, should I jump in the deep end and drown a lot until I start swimming'

How often do you call this? (No reads)
IMO both hands are examples of how much you're willing to gamble. You're willing to gamble with 77 than with A10. I wouldn't call with A10 and maybe sometimes with 77, just because I would like to take out as much gamble as possible.

I think you should've called. I know that it's easy for me to say after the fact but the six was your miracle card. That's the card that you were playing the rest of the hand for. I would've liked to see a huge or all-in on the river. I think the mistake you made was that you checked the river. You gave up control and put yourself in a bad position by giving him control. But in the end you did save money for another hand. What happened with the rest of the tourney'
